✨✨✨TATLER BALL✨✨✨ The premier ball of the season each year Last year I got permission from my neurosurgeon to leave the hospital for 8hrs to attend 2-10pm. #spinetumorwarrior Last minute I chose to wear a catsuit vs a huge gown tangled in my wheelchair wheels. (See catsuit in pinned post 👆🏼) This year I planned an outfit I could walk in but it never arrived. In panic, once again, last minute I chose an old dress in my closet. But I’m learning over & over again, the universe always has a benevolent plan for us. #trustintheuniverse As you’ll notice, the back of this dress completely shows off my spine tumor scar from last Halloween. I proudly showed it off at the party as i WALKED into the ball this year. AND even got to dance on my feet. Yes I still have leg pain. But… I had so much fun seeing everyone in their amazing looks! And meeting new amazing people. In a world filled with horrific stories, Tatler really brings together souls doing great things for humanity. & being an expat here w/no family, the people I’ve met through Tatler, bc you embraced & celebrated my hubs @thedeanh , I’ve now got a lot of close friends. 10Q 4 a great night! Tatler Ball 2025 We’ve gratefully now been to 4 since moving here… and this year’s blew the rest away. Why? 1. Great impact awards to individuals that are truly changing the world 2. The entertainment: magician, cello-esque player, hip hop dancers 3. Food was delicious The gigantic room was set with 300 chairs. And I got to make yet another amazing connection at this Tatler ball, @wendyong212 who is humble to a fault! Singaporean but now lives in LA. We clicked right away! Thx to hubby for these opportunities to rub shoulders with these amazing people! @thedeanh Got to see some of my fav people @tealsandals @coolmumdianna @qiekie @stayszesze @vickmysterj @youtripsg @arthurmak16 @ayeshakhanna @danaonduty @onefatboy @happyhomer @darrengabrielleow @gulfkanawut @wendyseah12 Beautiful room @rwsentosa Thank you @tatlersingapore @tatlerasia for a beautiful night! Oh I got to meet: 1. @mountain_queen_10 & her daughter again from the previous night @shiny.dijmarescu 2. @from_jjlee who gave us priority in photos bc I spoke Korean with him! 3. The amazing @amandangocnguyen who fights against sexual assault & one of the few females to have flown to space ! “17hours here from LA! Took longer than getting to space!” 🤪 Funny story: the magicians 2nd act she asked “who’s good at math?” As I’m eating… I nod to myself and raised my arm up “ good at math” Next thing I know I’m putting my jacket back on and walking slowly up the stairs. Thankfully I just had to hold the calculator. 🤪 It was an awesome trick @jerryltan_ & later guests thought I was in on it! 🤣 or even thought it’s my job! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Outfit: I actually planned on wearing this look at last year’s but the coat never came. I panicked & wore a short red dress with platforms that showed off my spine tumor surgery scar. This year I was able to walk in heels. So the timing worked out. I was meant to wait a year for this look. The timing is always perfect with the universe. Reminds me to always trust. I’m fukking done son! 10/31: on Halloween, Spine tumor removal surgery, woke up unable to lift my right leg. 11/11: Tatler Ball… got permission to leave the hospital 2pm, Emeline helped me with makeup, “partied” with old & met new friends, back at hospital by 10pm. Took an amazing crew to help me “stand” in the photo. Couldn’t wear shoes… too heavy to walk in. Had a huge gown but made this last minute decision to wear an old catsuit. 11/17: discharged from hospital 11/27: started radiation 1 of 33… wearing hospital gowns suck 12/5: Ayesha accompanies me to radiation bc Dean couldn’t that day Able to walk with a walker… 12/22: I make an effort to dress up… Mrs. Clause. The staff make me this fun video collage 🥰 12/27: for my lucky number & Theo’s… #22 session. We both try to dress “colorful”. This is now one of my all time fav looks. 1/12: 33/33 radiation ☢️ I wanted to be able to “walk” out by myself. Not pictured: 3rd therapist that was away for class took a break to come say goodbye. Celebrated that night at Lavo on top MBS. Hubs took me every. Single. Morning. 33x Monday to Friday. Thx to all those who took the time to think about me… to empathize with another human being. Sadly it doesn’t happen naturally… takes effort. So when I’m on the receiving end, I’ll never forget it. ::40th BIRTHDAY:: Singapore culture continues to amaze me… black tie birthday soirée. So happy to be celebrating this gentle, kind, thoughtful human. Happiest birthday @yoshi.blessed you are truly loved! What a beautiful evening! 🥳 thank you for inviting us 🥰 Dress code: black tie with a touch of red ❤️ So many of the women wore red dresses (swipe 👉🏼) Unexpectedly knew guests AND seated next to a lady i haven’t caught up with in maybe 7yrs!!! @sabrinahoofficial Handsome hubby surprisingly wore sleeves for the party in a velvet burgundy jacket. @thedeanh I wore a very comfortable dress with a high slit which could let me walk easy 🙏🏼 and of course, flats. The necklace is old from @target , wig from my Glinda Halloween costume (everyone thinks it’s my real hair!). So fun seeing the newly weds @therealjsee @michkeymouse The birthday boy sang Backstreet Boys and of course I had to come film it! Fun!!! What a packed day of fun! Started off with an 8:45am zoom meeting. I get to model again for a brand! Podcast with @iantanhuman at @matterlife.co … such great thoughtful questions! Thank you for having me 🙏🏼 Then an HBOT experience there while watching Spider-Man on a tablet they gave me during… Then off to @baethejoymakr of @secretsunrisesingapore … lots of joy with my 1/2 Korean Bae… 😘 Then walked home to get my finger pricked (after 48hrs fast) by hubs @thedeanh as I am DELTA 2 (he’s obviously DELTA 1) 🤪 Then a squat in heels before going to a charity dinner to support the visually impaired. My fav quote of the night “even the visually impaired can see color”. As an energy healer… i definitely can see color with my eyes closed… so I came to an epiphany… what colors could they “see” after learning pranic healing?! @cis_singapore wanna try conducting an experiment?! If this works, the visually impaired could have another income opportunity 🙏🏼✨🥰 this could unlock a super power for them that seeing people can’t access very easily. ::Super Girl x Super Kids:: My 4th time volunteering as a cosplayer to bring joy to the sick kids at the hospital but today we got to visit the kids at the cancer ward. Came up the elevator and greeted by a bald 6yo boy, tubes out his nose, hospital gown, walking along side his mom. “Wanna take a picture with us?” He wasn’t afraid of us like most other kids his age. Did dealing with the big C make him brave? Undoubtedly so. We progressed through the ward bed by bed. Poses for photos, giving out stickers… the only item allowed in the ward that is least likely to spread infectious disease. At the last visit, we ran out of stickers. I told myself, that can never happen again. I made a box of ton of stickers. Spider-man also brought stickers too! Is it hard to get these costumes? Is it expensive to procure? Is it hot & sweaty wearing these in Sg? Is it incredibly hard watching sick kids? Is it an amazing high seeing smiles of joy? Grateful for this group in Sg… cosplay for GOOD. To my fellow cosplayers, yall have hearts of GOLD. Here’s just a small glimpse of the afternoon. 🙏🏼 Wanna join us? Saw a guy playing the handpan on the streets 3. Dean took the kids for a 2nd day at Paris Disney so I took mom & bro to Notre Dame. 4. I have mixed feelings about my trip here… loved & reminisced so much this time… am I home sick?
