SAWEERA Workshop Registration & Priority Survey

Registrations are now open for the SAWEERA Skill Building Workshops, a free virtual initiative focused on strengthening individuals, families, and communities.

These workshops are exclusively designed for South Asian boys (16+) and men (18+), including students, young professionals, fathers, and community members.

Two standalone sessions will be conducted (2 hours each, via Zoom). Participants may select up to two preferred topics. Final session dates and times will be scheduled based on overall interest, and confirmations will be shared one week prior to the sessions.

3. Understanding and Preventing Gender-Based Violence
4. Gender Norms and Life in Canada
5. Healthy Relationships

AGNI & Future Heroes – An International Youth Empowerment Initiative

Ontario Heroes Health and Social Services is proud to announce the launch of AGNI (Adolescent Girls Nurturing Initiative) and Future Heroes—a transformative international youth empowerment initiative.

In partnership with Christian Mission Service (Germany & India), this initiative will support 300+ youth (ages 13–18) in rural Maharashtra, West Bengal, and Andhra Pradesh, creating a strong foundation for education, health, safety, and leadership.

A Holistic Pathway to a Brighter Future

• Supplemental Education – Preventing high school dropouts and strengthening academic foundations
• Nutrition– Supporting healthy, energized minds and bodies year-round
• Healthcare – Access to medical care, regular check-ups, and hygiene education
• Life Skills & Leadership – Building confidence, communication, and responsible citizenship
• Safety & Protection – Safeguarding youth from abuse, neglect, and child labour

Every young heart holds a dream.
Together, let’s help those dreams take flight—strong, brave, and unstoppable.

Thank you to all our volunteers, community partners, leaders, donors, and supporters who joined us for the Barrhaven Fill the Cupboard Campaign.

Your generosity and participation made a real difference, helping us collect a wide variety of essential items for those in need.

Special thanks to Computek College, Ignita Consulting, CCMA, Y Services Toronto, and to Biju George, Barbara Bal, Ranjith, Nandu, Ajeesh, Sudheesh Panicker, Theresa, Vinod John, Sundeep, and all members who supported this initiative.

Due to the great response, we plan to continue this campaign every three months.

This afternoon I stopped by the @ontarioheroes Nepean event in support of the @barrhavenfoodcupboard.

This registered non-profit is doing amazing work with food drives, mental health support, and employment programs.
