I run into a lot of people that don’t know what a virtual assistant does.

Think of it like this…
If you’re overwhelmed with emails, scheduling, client follow-ups, and trying to keep your business organized…

I’m the person that helps take those things off your plate.

So you can actually focus on growing your business instead of drowning in it.

➡️ Streamlined systems
➡️ Organized communication
➡️ Peace over panic

Sorry, not sorry. 🤭

Apparently, when you have someone who pays attention, follows through, and handles things before you even think to ask, your expectations start to change.

And once you get used to hearing “Already handled,” there's really no going back.

We may have set the bar a little too high. 😂

Try it for yourself. Link to connect in Bio.

When I first started On Task, I had a 15-question questionnaire. 😩

FIFTEEN questions.

Then I had multiple ways for people to get in touch with us, different steps they had to take, and I’m sure some people were just confused. 😂

Especially MY clients.

My clients are busy.

They don’t have time to sit down and complete a long questionnaire just to get started.

And if they do fill it out while they’re rushing, am I really getting clear and accurate information?

Probably not. 🥴

I had to learn that making my process easier for me didn’t always make it easier for the client.

So I simplified it. Give me the information I actually need to understand what’s going on, and we can talk through the rest.

This week, take a look at what someone has to do before they can work with you.

How many questions are you asking?

How many places are you sending them?

How many steps do they have to remember?

Are they automated?

A year ago, I realized I was checking my inbox waaay more than I needed to. 😩

Everything sitting there felt like it needed my attention.

And y’all... that will wear you OUT.

You answer one email.

Then another comes in. Then you miss one.

Next thing you know, email has become a whole job by itself. 😂

And in reality, it WAS a job, so I hired someone to do it.

Best decision I made.

Because once I stopped being the person checking every email, sorting every message, and trying to remember what needed a response, I had more room automate the process.

So this week, I want you to pay attention to how much time you’re spending, not just on your inbox but anything.

If it's taking over your day, it may be time to treat it like the job it actually is.

Like Jodeci said- Come and talk to me. 😂 The first time is free. Link in bio.

I remember having a client who needed SO many things fixed behind the scenes. And as I was going through everything, I could literally see where he had tried to do it himself.

I could see the effort in the organization.
I could tell where he started.
Where he stopped.
Where he came back and tried again.

And I understood it because I’ve done the same thing.

That’s actually one of the reasons I’m starting to write more about these things.

Because I’ve done it. Other business owners do it. And there IS a solution.

Now, of course I want that solution to be me. 😂

But the REAL solution...
Get somebody to help you complete your foundation.

And for the person that keeps starting over, STOP, you already have what you need.

You just need help finishing what you started.

One of my favorite places to be is on the beach. Something about sitting near the water gives me time to think about how far I’ve come...

When I first started my business, I had the HARDEST time putting my foot down when it came to boundaries.

I was taking ALL the business. So if a client needed something, I was trying to make it happen. After hours? Okay. Something outside of what we agreed on? I got it. Needed me to squeeze in one more thing? Sure.

And some of that cost me clients anyway. Some of it cost me time. And a whole lot of it left me worn OUT.

But that was part of learning how to run a business.

I’ve made mistakes. I’ve handled things differently than I would today. And I’ll never get on here and pretend I’ve done everything perfectly.

I’m still learning. Still adjusting. Still growing.

I’m not perfect. I’m in progress. And that counts.

Looking back, even the mistakes taught me something I needed for where I am now.

With God, it all worked together for the good. ❤️

And I’m grateful for that.

I know I’m not the only one who has had all 4 of these going on at the same time... 👀

The emails keep coming.
The calendar is not calendar-ing.
The paperwork/admin stuff keeps piling up.

And you’re trying to keep up with everything else that comes with running a business.

You can do it all, but whew🫩…

Sometimes you just need somebody to come in, help get things organized, handle what can be handled, and keep things moving.

That’s literally what we do.

“Iiinnn West Philadelphia, born and raised…” 😂

Okay, okay… not exactly. 😂 But let’s go back a little.

Before becoming a business owner, I did ALOT.

I supported first-generation college students, worked as an Administrative Assistant, managed college cheer and dance teams, planned and coordinated student trips, decorated and managed events, and worked alongside some amazing people.

And when I really think about it, everything I learned, I learned from there.

How to work with different personalities. How to manage people. How to keep things organized. How to figure things out when the plan changed. How to support people without needing the spotlight. And how to make sure all the little details actually got done.

Looking back now, I can see that so much of what I do today was already there.

On Task officially became a business in 2021, but the foundation had been building for a long time before that.

Turns out, I’ve been "On Task" for a longggg time. 😂

Funny how some things make a whole lot more sense when you look back. by @ontaskassists

A month ago, I caught myself doing it again.

Doing something I KNOW I could hand off because it felt easier to just do it myself.

None of it felt like a big deal in the moment.

But those little tasks add up FAST y'all. 😂
Needless to say, I felt the heat immediately the next week.🥴

So this week, I’m challenging you with one question:

"Does this actually need me?"

Not, can you do it? Because of course you can.

Buuut... does it need to stay on your plate?

💡 Delegation Tip of the Day

One of the easiest ways to delegate better? Record it instead of typing it.

The next time you're explaining a task, record a quick walkthrough using:
• 🎥 Loom
• 📱 Your phone's built-in screen recorder
• 💻 Desktop apps like Clipchamp

A 2–5 minute recording gives your assistant the context they need and creates a resource they can reference again and again.

The goal isn't to explain the same task ten times. The goal is to build a system that saves you time.

Record it once. Delegate it with confidence. 🙌
