100 years of bridal fashion. Countless love stories. And one that’s entirely your own. 🤍

An intimate look inside the @rerackedvintage presentation for CFDA New York Bridal Fashion Week, celebrating a century of vintage bridal fashion, extraordinary craftsmanship, and the romance of wearing something with a history.

We believe finding your wedding dress should be as personal and memorable as the day you’ll wear it. Through private, one-on-one appointments, thoughtful curation, personalized sourcing, and couture-level alterations and customization, we help each bride discover something that feels entirely her own.

Because the most beautiful thing about a dress with a past is the future waiting for it.

Now welcoming brides by appointment at our NoMad studio in New York City.

New York has a way of making everything feel urgent. Even your dreams can become another thing to rush toward.

It’s easy to lose yourself in the motion. To spend a whole day moving and never quite arrive. To get turned around in the noise and keep spinning in circles.

A hotel hideout has always helped me turn the volume down. Close the curtains on whatever real-world pressures are waiting on the other side.

This time I found some freedom from the chaos at @arlonomad - by opening the shades and experiencing New York in silence. Like watching from the clouds. The city kept moving, and I got to be still.

A morning that allowed me to rise above it all. A reminder of how important it is to find places or mental spaces where you can actually hear yourself feel. ⛅️ by @ontheracks

Last month, at the @rerackedvintage event, flowers became something to wear, adorn and collect.

Orchid petals tattooed by hand using motifs inspired by Roberto Cavalli’s lost 1970s collection—the same collection informing Floral Reserve No. 1: Suede & Blooms.

A fleeting flower carrying the memory of fashion.
The first Reserve is coming soon.

Vogue wrote about the lost Roberto Cavalli collection I’ve been researching which is now exhibiting at @kimberly_yetka_rosario and my new archival fashion and editorial floral studio in NoMad. I’m still pinching myself.

After all these years of obsessing over clothes and the history stitched into them, I never expected one sentence to change so much. @countessfrancesca walked in to my kingston shop one day and said, “I have painted suede sets by Roberto Cavalli from the 70s.”

Then she showed me.

What may have looked like me falling down yet another rabbit hole turned out to be worth every minute. I got to play detective, piecing together tags, snaps, and Cavalli’s own words. More than once I wondered if I was seeing something that wasn’t there. Turns out I wasn’t crazy after all. This is a lost Roberto Cavalli collection from the early ‘70s: hand-printed and painted suede and leather that had a real impact on fashion history.

I’ve had the privilege of resurfacing some of the most special garments I’ve ever seen. Thank you @the_lbp and @voguemagazine for telling this story, so this very special lost chapter will now be seen, studied, and remembered. Fran, thank you for trusting me with these pieces. @floralspell.co, thank you for designing a stunning room worthy of them. @callmeannemarie for capturing the collection so beautifully on @samarianyc and @lysslester for photos from the opening.

The collection is on view by appointment through September 16. Link to request a visit is in the bio. If you’re not a Vogue subscriber but want to read the article, send me a DM. But…it’s Vogue. Subscribe! ;)

Collectors and others interested - the collection is not yet priced but we are welcoming questions and offers which can be sent to me directly at laura@rerackedvintage.com. by @ontheracks

Before the leopard, there were flowers. A lost era of Roberto Cavalli, and almost no one has seen it.

“Roberto Cavalli like you’ve never seen him before,” says @voguemagazine and @the_lbp

The Painted Years: early ‘70s Cavalli, with suede and leather printed and painted by hand in Florence. There’s no catalogue and no record, until now.

On view through September 16, by appointment, at the Reracked + @floralspell.co studio in NoMad. Request to view through the link in bio, or DM us!

Collectors, ask us about the pieces.

A white vintage nightgown is sort of my signature move. So, when my room at @acehotelnewyork—steps from the @rerackedvintage bridal studio in NoMad / my beloved home away from home—got an upgrade, naturally my “sleepwear” did too.

This 1960s chiffon x Edwardian-revival lace bridal gown is one of my favorites. So romantic, with its continuous silhouette and dramatic Watteau train.

Book a room at the Ace and come play dress-up with us on W 29th Street in Manhattan. 🖤 by @ontheracks

Make an appointment to try in NYC! by @ontheracks

We opened our Kingston doors hoping to create something different.

Not a showroom.

A place where people could slow down, play dress up, follow curiosity, and discover the gown that felt undeniably theirs.

Being voted Best Bridal Boutique in the @chronogram Readers’ Choice Awards means more than we can say because it came from this community.

Thank you to every bride who trusted us. Every family who celebrated with us. Every person who voted. Every person who has walked through our door with an open heart.

This little dream keeps growing because of you.

Here’s to all the love stories still waiting to begin. 🤍 by @ontheracks

Counting my blessings today and at the top of the list is this beautiful, talented, inspiring flower fairy princess.

@kimberly_yetka_rosario became an instant friend, creative collaborator, and source of infinite inspiration and I can’t think of anyone I’d rather share this special space with.

The Orchid Room is officially open — a breathtakingly beautiful enchanted garden quietly tucked away in the back, filled with magic, pretty objects, and the best energy.

It really was a night of color and kindness and light. To the loved ones and familiar faces who were there with smiles of support and new friends I enjoyed meeting and sharing stories with…I think I can speak on behalf of us both when I say THANK YOU for showing up…it means the world.

Starting something new is scary, confusing, often sleepless, and can take an emotional toll on every aspect of life...especially as a solo business owner who feels totally lost about 97% of the time. This endeavor has been a bigger and scarier leap of faith than I have ever taken before but it’s also the first time I am not doing it solo. What a difference it makes having you in my corner (and you here in NYC @vidaellner !!)

…thank you Kim for being around since day one to laugh (and totally cry) with me…and for taking a chance as well, embarking on this exciting journey with a total weirdo stranger. And my killer kingston colleagues @colleema and @agar_gypsum

The most rewarding things in life don’t come easy, but we keep going anyway. In the past 5 years I’ve learned how important it is to be capable of surviving alone. I also learned I don’t always have to. Some things are simply more fun with flowers and good friends by your side. by @ontheracks
