All my life, I have always been aware of the spirit of God but it became more evident to me the year I turned 21. That was indeed a landmark year for me; the beginning of seasonsss.

One thing that has stood out to me since then is the mercy of God.

God is so merciful, the Bible says that He is rich in mercy and the Holy Spirit interprets this to mean that one of the currencies of the Lord is mercy. So profound! He never hesitates to dole out mercy to His children.

I am a living testimony of the mercy of God; even in my imperfection, He is consistent in compassion.

This is a public testament that God is good. And on days when it doesn’t feel like it, I hope I never lean in to my feelings but to the Spirit of God within me.

I pray that I always remember to sing praises to Him, in all circumstances. Because I was actually made to glorify His name.

So, here’s to my God🥂, the ONE who has given me all that I need to live a good life. Here’s to trusting You with my life, here is to actually giving You my life.

2024 was such a difficult year for me.

I started the year with a head full of hair and by the middle of the year, I had cut it all off😅.
I was so sad and I do not think I have ever cried as much in my life as I cried that year, grief was hitting me on all sides.

The year came with a roller coaster of emotions for me. It was honestly a cocktail of feelings that tried to contend with my joy.

First, I was mourning the loss of a family member and so many other things I did not think one could grieve.
On the other hand, I was happy that God had fulfilled a certain promise over my life. Then, I saw it snatched away from me by circumstances. This was heart wrenching.

To top this all, I was in law school and I needed my concentration and sanity.

But the Lord helped me, He was(is) my friend and comforted me on all sides. He sent people to show me how much He loves me and this is why I am writing this now too.
He woke me up really early, asked me to share this testimony and tell YOU of His love and mercy towards you.

Because of how God carried me in that season, I am convinced that there is nothing that God cannot bring me out of. I am convinced that trials, tribulations, perils, life challenges, law school, grief, career woes (think of what you are going through and name it all), nothing can ever seperate me from the overwhelming love of Christ.
Above all, my testimony is that of JOY.

So, you too, even in the midst of all you are going through, just know that God is with you. Weeping may endure for a night, for many nights even lol, but joy comes in the morning. You can even have joy in the midst of it all.

You know what? Our testimony as children of God, is that there is light IN the tunnel- you do not need to wait till end. He is guiding you through it all. Head or Tail, you win- we have something greater than a joker card. Even though you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, you need not fear evil, for the Lord is with you.

So, if you’re reading this right now, this is proof that God sees you and loves you dearly. Please surrender totally to Him.
