A job I wasn’t ready for led me to the training I needed.

Grateful for the opportunity made possible by @madamme_president and @lightbulb_consults to be part of an 8-week intensive Social Media Management class organized by @alexthecontentgirl My Principal 🥹 through @socialmediaprefects with an incredible lineup of Faculties.

Rejection didn’t close the door.
It showed me which skills to build.
Sometimes you don’t miss opportunities- you just get redirected into preparation.
I’m excited to grow, to learn intentionally, and to step into this field with structure and confidence.
Watch this space. 🚀✨

A leader must be able to communicate.

Today, we are taking another important step in our Develop journey as we learn about:

Leadership & Public Speaking: Building Confidence to Express Yourself

And who better to guide us than Ms. Onyinyechi Gift Aliene, our facilitator for today’s session. 💜

Leadership is not only about having great ideas. It is also about having the confidence to communicate those ideas and inspire others.

Going through my gallery recently I saw this photo taken during my presentation at a competition.

Looking at it again reminded me that God knows the exact ingredients needed for our lifting.

May August be that month.
The month of our lifting!
Trust Him!

Can you guess what made one egg rise?

I had the privilege of co-moderating the Sixth Annual Lecture Series in celebration of Professor Ayebaemi Spiff on April 9th.

The event was a remarkable experience, centered on the thought-provoking theme, “What on Earth is not Chemistry?” truly, nothing.

The lecture series brought together distinguished members of the Chemical Society of Nigeria, creating a rare opportunity to engage with respected lecturers and accomplished professionals in the field.

One of the most memorable moments for me was seeing Professor Spiff, who taught me Organic Chemistry in my 400 level. She is truly a living legend, having taught the Professor who taught me, and even those who taught them. Witnessing that legacy in one space was incredible.

I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to co-moderate this event and to the Chemical Society of Nigeria, Bayelsa State Chapter. by @onyinyechialiene

🏆 Celebrating Excellence

Beyond completing the program, some Prefects stood out for their consistency, growth, and dedication.

Today, we recognize and celebrate them.

Excellence deserves to be seen.
Effort deserves to be rewarded.

Happy International Women’s Day ✨
Wherever you are in your journey and whatever season you find yourself in becoming, growing, learning, or rising you are going to be just fine.

Celebrating the women who make way for others, who show the way, who cheer, celebrate, and plug other women into opportunities. Women who rise and still reach back to lift others.

And to the men who create room for women to grow, who respect, support, and never dim a woman’s light blessings by @onyinyechialiene

Happy Birthday to the woman who carried me, prayed for me, and loved me before I even knew what love was.

I speak long life over you.
I speak divine health over you.
I speak peace that passes understanding over your heart.
I speak joy, favour and abundance of blessings

May this new year bring you ease where there was stress, laughter where there were worries, and double honor for every sacrifice you’ve made.

You are blessed in the morning and blessed in the night.
Blessed in your going out and blessed in your coming in.
Everything you touch will flourish.

Happy Birthday, my first love, my safe place, my forever prayer warrior.
I celebrate you today and always ❤️ by @onyinyechialiene

Celebrating the International Day of Girls and Women in Science 👩🏽‍🔬✨

Grateful to be part of a global network like IYCN where young women are not just doing science — we are shaping it, breaking barriers, leading innovations, and strengthening global collaboration in chemistry.

From research labs to leadership tables, from mentorship to policy discussions women in IYCN are shaping the future of science.

Science thrives when women thrive. 💜

Honoured to serve as the Compere and Moderator at the IUPAC 2026 Global Women’s Breakfast (GWB 2026), hosted by the Women in Chemistry (WIC), Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN), Bayelsa State Chapter.

With the theme “Many Voices, One Science,” the event brought together scientists, educators, and students to amplify women’s voices in chemistry and explore how science can drive sustainable development and community impact, particularly here in Bayelsa State.

The conversations around:
Strengthening women’s voices in chemical sciences, and Empowering women as change makers through chemistry, were both timely and deeply inspiring.

I was especially glad to contribute not just as a Compere, but also by sharing insights on the work of the International Younger Chemists’ Network (IYCN) a committee of IUPAC.

Events like this reaffirm that science thrives when it is inclusive, collaborative, and people-centred.
Grateful to the organizers, speakers, and participants for an impactful Global Women’s Breakfast.

Ephesians 3:17-19
"May you be rooted and established in love, and may you have power to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ."

February is for:
Faith that doesn’t wobble,
Favour that follows me like sunlight,
Fellowship that feeds my soul,
Financial glow-up, because abundance is mine,
Fitness for body and mind,
Flourishing beyond limits,
Focus that pierces distraction,
Fresh starts

God has made room.
