You have probably heard this good old saying, “let your winners run and cut your losers short” Here’s a brekdown to really dial this into your trading now 👇🏼 So, here’s the thing: Win rate is a dynamic metric that changes constantly with market conditions, personal performance and the art of probabilities. So the focus shouldn’t just be winning all the time. Your goal as a trader should be to keep the win rate metric as stable as possible whilst focusing on profit factor. See, you could win 80% of the trades you take and still lose money. Your losing trades would just have to outweigh the total profit of your winners. This comes down to position sizing, risk management and reward per trade expectancy. Your goal is to maximise the amount you stand to gain per trade and minimise the amount you stand to lose per trade. Win rate is important.
