Bring the kiddos by for our Trunk or Treat event on Sunday, October 25th, from 12-3pm, for some candy, music, and fun! We are asking for a donation of your choosing made to the embrace challenge. We will also have a coffee/hot chocolate stand available for donations along with a swag table!

If we win, we will get a $15,000 grant! The charity that raises the most money will be the winner!

Parents are welcome to sneak candy out of those buckets!

Little Nermal is slowly adjusting to safety. She was rescued as a pregnant stray and has probably been struggling to survive for quite a while. She was in foster for a while until her kittens were weened and is now fixed, up to date on shots, and microchipped.

When you pet her, she flinches and closes her eyes. She doesn't yet understand a kind hand. Nermal is so gentle and deserves to feel loved. We are looking for a family that will erase the memories that make her nervous. We estimate she's about a year old. by @ooakpr

Abandoned in a box, pregnant, and scared. That's Giza's story. She went through our foster program and her kittens have long since been adopted.

Giza spends her days just trying to relax. She's often tucked into herself, just hoping things get better. Her experience with humans have been they are cruel, so she's suspicious of us. She's very sweet, but over stimulated.

She would do well in a low-traffic home where she can just be a pet, and not struggle just for survival. Giza needs you. We estimate she's 2 years old. by @ooakpr

Join us on Halloween night as we count down the final hours of the EmbraceCLE Challenge! Enjoy a night of live music from Back At It, an ’80s cover band, along with a costume contest, raffle baskets, food, drinks, and plenty of Halloween fun—all while helping us save lives.

This event is 21 and over with FREE admission. Food is included and will feature rigatoni, chicken and JoJos, and salad. A cash bar will be available throughout the evening.

Poplar is ready for playtime as soon as you get that cat wand out. She bounces all over with them. She seems to get along with all the cats in her room. She started off pretty nervous, but these days seems more open to visiting with people.

Poplar would do well with a family that will give her a lot of love and affection. She likes getting petted but still worries that humans aren't always the good guys. This beautiful girl needs a loving family. She's about a year old. by @ooakpr

When Gwen looks at you, she's pleading for you to be another kind human. That's not what she's known so far in life. It surprises her, still, that people want to be nice.

Gwen is such a sweetheart. She's gentle and gets along with other cats. She actually prefers to have another cat to keep her company. She needs a person that will give her the time to feel safe and comfortable. We estimate she's around a year old. by @ooakpr

Gizmo's story is just missing one part... YOU! ❤️

When Gizmo was found by his rescuer, he was starving, lost, and struggling to survive. This is the heartbreaking reality when an indoor cat is put outside to fend for themselves. They don't know how to hunt or survive on their own, and there isn't always a kind neighbor around to put food out.

Thankfully, Gizmo got a second chance! After lots of love, care, and rehabilitation, he's gained weight and transformed into the fluffiest little muffin!

We rescued him, healed him, and now he's ready for the best part of his story: a family to call his own.

Gizmo is estimated to be 3 years old, and he's ready to find his forever home. Could you be the missing piece of his happily ever after? by @ooakpr

Casper Lee is a buddy cat, meaning he will run up to you to greet you when you know him, and will be your very best buddy. He's also the boss cat. He would never hurt another cat, but he'll bop them in the nose if they get too close to him. Once he's claimed a human, his turn is his turn with that human.

Casper Lee has been waiting for a family for a while. He knows the photographer well now, so when we come in to do photos, he's chirping and meowing begging for attention. He loves to hang out in the window and nap. He's a very good boy.

Some cats are so desirable, we don't even need to put them online to be adopted. They get snatched up before we even get the chance. But sometimes, they get missed by adopters.

Hazel is a perfect angel, and has all the things people ask for when looking for a new cat. She's so affectionate, her fur is extremely soft, she's gentle, and she likes attention.

Today is Hazel's day. Visit the adoption center to meet her! She is 8 years old.

P.S. We have almost 100 available cats. Don't wait for a Facebook post to find the perfect one, or you'll miss out! We are open to the public. by @ooakpr

Panic has erupted amongst the cats at One of A Kind Pet Rescue after they heard rumors that the puppies are running dangerously low on wet food. Fearing their own food supply could be next, one furious feline has filed a formal complaint with the Cat Care team.

Sources report tensions are rising, demands are being meowed, and a full-scale feline uprising may be imminent.

We need your help! Please consider donating towards wet cat or puppy food today before negotiations completely collapse!

Antoine might have a crooked little ear, but he's perfect anyway. He literally rubs all over everything when he's happy, which is easy get him to be. All you have to do is pet him!
