What does OoAK upcycle mean?

Now why I pronounce it ō-ack is a little random and I'm aware it doesn't pass the radio test but I like it that way so 🤷🏼‍♀️

Wanna see what I'm up to now - check out my stories!

I give away all my secrets 😘

Pretty in pink is not my typical MO but...

Something about this dresser reminded me of third grade. My twin sisters had just been born and I needed to make room for the babies to be close to mom and dad's room so I moved to the basement bedroom.

To make that feel special my mom promised we could paint it however I wanted. We decided on pink with a stenciled rose border at the top. This was before I went hard-core tomboy, when I still liked the feminine aesthetic. Thanks mom!

It was a sweet moment in my life and something about doing this dresser this color... with its original swirly hardware, was a nod to my inner child a little bit.

Refinishing furniture is rarely JUST about furniture. 💝

Today this dresser's life is gonna change...

No more feeling drab, dusty, and ignored. Now it's pretty in pink!

What do we think about this new look?

Loving the asymmetrical drawer layout and wood grain on this one!

After some minor repairs, a new sand and seal, and some blendal patching (IYKYK) this baby is ready for a new life.

It's so rewarding watching the old become new again 🥰

Keep it simple sweetheart 😘

This MCM is keeping it clean and basic in Paris Black (black with navy undertones)

Originally found in an ally (seriously 😳) but would be amazing in almost any space! Can you say good bones? 🙌🏼

Thanks to a kind stranger for helping this come back to me. I lost it about 4 months ago and it was devastating because there are no backups.

The pic is from the year we met. We've been together 10 years now and moved up to Denver this year. It means the world to have it back!

I recently moved to Denver to accept a new career position with GBCI (we manage the #LEED building standard) and I am in love with these old homes in my neighborhood.

These are a few favorites from my walk this morning. Thesy were built as early as 1890!

Once I get more settled you'll see more furniture upcycles from me but for now thanks for letting me soak in some inspiration from this incredible place.
