It’s not just a gym. It’s a proving ground. With an NBA-sized court, weight room, shooting machines, contact pads, and acres of space, The Dogg House is a state-of-the-art compound built for real growth. It’s for competitors who push past limits, physically and mentally. Here, it’s not about talent alone. It’s about toughness, commitment, and a mindset that says the work doesn’t stop until the job is done.

At The Dogg House, John “JC” Collins brings that same energy. A former JUCO All-American and true professional, JC is the real deal. He’ll work until you get tired. He’s not on the clock. He’s willing to stay all night if that’s what it takes. The lights don’t cut off. If you give 110%, JC will match you hour for hour. He’s a genuine trainer who takes his craft seriously, all about the work and letting results speak for themselves. Strictly business. No shortcuts.

The proof is in the players he’s helped build. Over the years, JC has helped over 100 student-athletes, from first-time hoopers trying to make teams, to players chasing competitive battles, to consistently producing pros. Here are a few names:

Taurean Prince (@taureanprince), standout at Baylor, 1st round pick in 2016. Now in his 8th season, Prince is shooting 44% from behind the arc.

Marcus Keene (@mjrk3), just 5’9”, led the nation in scoring at Central Michigan, averaging 30.0 points per game.

George King (@2bkings) played internationally in Italy, Poland, China, and Australia.

O.J. Mayo (@juicemayo3), top-ranked recruit and McDonald’s All-American, starred at USC and was selected 3rd overall in the 2008 NBA Draft. He averaged 18.5 points as a rookie and earned NBA All-Rookie First Team honors.

In a city some overlook as “not a basketball city,” even with the five-time champion Spurs dominating the 2000s, JC helped build and expand the San Antonio pipeline. He’s worked with athletes tied to the Austin Spurs, trains at the new Victory Capital Performance Center, and had top prospects like NBA Rookie of the Year Stephon Castle putting in 5 a.m. work at The Dogg House.
