Could not be more grateful to have won PNW’s first tutting battle. Big thank you to everyone involved in making this event happen. We don’t get many places to truly share so It was beautiful to see so many dope tutters in one place almost brought tears to my eyes but it was probably sweat 😢

Past painted shadows and shaded corridors
Ok daydream to oblivion”

A Useless Manifesto That Makes You Useless

-

The newly cleaned carpets of the penthouse suite of the Living Shangri-La still sully my mud stained shoes. It’s such a terrible shame that people become so ruthlessly focused on separating themselves from others that they literally cannot physically see those who are beneath them.

Thus, if they believe us to be so useless they cannot bear to view us in our entirety then we should allow them the displeasure of being correct. We declare the following to unanimously and ubiquitously render yourself without use!

Short clip but when I started doing Flexn I honestly never thought shooting a video like this with other Flexn dancers would be possible especially in Vancouver, but @hillscloud made that happen brought these guys out here so I’m grateful for what you’ve done with Flexn and looking forwards to what you continue to do with it. I’m glad you found it or maybe it found you. Big props always. 🙌🏼
And thanks for bringing real Flexn energy to Vancouver @cjrey17 @replayythat ⚡️I’m glad people got to see what y’all do, how y’all get down! 💪🏼

DISS•TANCE
There’s something special about feeling moved by something, seeing a moment to create from and seizing it. It’s like catching lightning in a bottle. We saw a cinematic frame and built this piece in 10 minutes, Ooze knew just what to play, 2.

I feel like after the mere act of collaborating, @ooze.rl and I knew each other just a little more. Maybe we’re more similar than we thought after all? I think that’s my favorite part. 🙇🏽‍♂️

ty the goat @hillscloud for filming this. 🎥

It’s August and the Tutting tree is slowly undergoing change… 🌴…🍃

I’m offering another tutting progressive as we approach the end of summer. Will most likely not be doing another progressive for a while so take advantage of this while you can. Come out and catch some angles! 📐

No experience required! This is an open/beginner level class that touches on many topics of tutting!

Week 1 and 2 will teach my fundamentals of tutting,
Week 3 will teach connecting
Week 4 will teach storytelling
and week 5 will teach you how to dance with your tuts.

This is a progressive but drop-ins are welcome!

Again: will be teaching tutting from a Turfing and Flexn perspective. If you know what these are—great! If not, you will definitely learn.

Session is open to all! A variety of Hiphop and RnB music will be played.

Please message me with any questions. And let me know if you are interested in learning and will make it out to class.
