Not been to Paeroa in a while? Since The Depot closed Just Plane Interesting has opened up in its place bringing a lot of fun to that end of town. A treasure trove full of curios, knick-knacks and tchotchkes from forgotten ages. Prices were pretty affordable compared to some, as is the lovely new community op shop next door.
Pro tip: round the corner on the back street is Refinery, a retro cafe in an old sugar factory that does legendary pastries and cups of tea (or wine if you so desire).
