August 15 @lesalondaome ! ⭐️

Wasie and Opal Stavo are getting together for a night with two friends and artists they’ve been wanting to share a booth with, Esme and Miette.

Just music they believe in, and a night they’ve genuinely been looking forward to.

Had the pleasure of doing an all night long with my great friend @omarhamdi909 last Thursday at @lesalondaome. Huge thanks to @rituals.mtl for making it possible.
The night passed in a blink ✨
Deep thanks to everyone who came to listen and dance, and to those who stayed from the beginning to the very end, it meant more than you know.
Thank you 🖤

My new set just got uploaded on SoundCloud, you can find here some of my favorites parts.
Big thanks to @s.u.b.v.e.r.s.i.o.n_ & @u_nterirdisch.wav for the invite. Go check out what they do. They’re doing real things in Cuba for the techno community over there, and it’s inspiring to see.
Also, my first podcast under my new name. Enjoy this bleepy, mellow set 🖤

Jumping in 2026 with something fresh, I changed my artist name.
I’ll now be playing as Opal Stavo. Chosen for its sound and feeling. It represents a more serious approach for my love of electronic music and DJing, with the large palette of sound I’ve been exploring over the years.
It feels right for where I am now.
Hope you will resonate with it.

Opening for @octov_mtl x @tssrct_rec this Saturday with one heavy lineup. Really stoked to be part of it and to share the stage with artists whose sound has inspired me for a long time. It means a lot. ✨
This will also be my only performance in December, and my last one under the name Octäne.

I started this whole music/DJ thing without really knowing where it could take me, and it ended up taking me way further than I ever expected. Octov was lowkey the dream end goal for Octäne, and I’m truly thankful for everything it has given me.

In January, I’ll be back with a new name, a more focused direction in sound, and an identity that just feels like me.

Thanks for everything so far.

Welcome to MEET Podcast 027 with Octäne

Octäne is a Montréal based DJ, born in France and raised in the Netherlands. As a resident of the Binary Groove collective, he focuses on creating a deep connection with his audience throughout his sets. He defines them as introspective and immersive but always likes to adapt, whether delivering refined techno for the dancefloor or experimenting with textured, atmospheric sounds. His essence tends to balance between reflection and movement, but all in all, Octäne wants to make you move.
