The Library, Lagos 📚✨ — was it worth the hype?

This was my first time visiting a Lagos restaurant like this, and honestly, I really enjoyed the overall experience.

First of all, I loved how they actually committed to the name and theme. There are bookshelves and books everywhere, and it genuinely made me want to pick one up and start reading while I waited. 😂

Although… maybe that’s exactly why the food took so long to arrive. Perhaps they wanted us to finish a chapter first. 😭 we were there for the taste of Library experience which I hear is quite popular so that could be another reason.

The waiting time was definitely the one downside for me. My sister had visited on another day and mentioned the same thing, so it wasn’t just my experience. And because I was very hungry that day, by the time the food arrived, I was honestly exhausted from waiting. 😂

Ambience: 10/10 ✅
Customer service: 10/10 ✅
Food: 8/10 ✅

I really enjoyed the food taste-wise, but I did notice that most of what we ordered had quite a bit of spice to it. There was one avocado dish in particular that nearly took me out. 😭😂 So if you’re not big on spice, that’s something to keep in mind.

But overall, I had a lovely experience and I’d definitely visit The Library again — especially to experience their after-party/club side another time.

And next time, I would try reading a book with me. 📖😂

Would I recommend it? I’d say go for the experience, the ambience and the food — just go prepared to wait. by @ope_starr

One of the restaurants I’ve been wanting to visit — officially off my checklist ✅

First visit was simply for good food, good vibes and, of course, a few pictures 😅

More thoughts on the restaurant coming soon 👀

You know those little messes you just want to clean up quickly? Crumbs after breakfast, bits on the floor, little spills and all those everyday messes that seem to appear out of nowhere. 😅

Normally, I’d just grab the broom and dustpan, but I’ve recently been reaching for my Hoover HF1 Max instead.

It’s so lightweight, cordless and easy to grab that I can quickly clean up the mess, put it away and carry on with my day. No faff, no fuss.

It also comes with two attachments for those harder-to-reach corners, and the battery lasts up to 50 minutes, so there’s plenty of time for all those little clean-ups around the home.

I honestly didn’t realise how much I needed this. My back is definitely thanking me for it. 😂🤎

As you can probably tell, I am LOVING this decorating phase of my life. 🥹🤎

The only downside? The amount of money these “small” projects are eating up… because why is everything so expensive?! 😂

But honestly, I’m enjoying seeing this house slowly come together and watching all my little ideas become reality.

I originally wanted this dining area to double as a little play space for my daughter too, but clearly, that only works in AI 😂 In reality, the space is a little too small and condensed for a proper play area. I might still find a way to make it work eventually, but for now, I’m loving how it’s coming together.

You saw the media wall come together, and this dining area is the latest finished piece. ✨

What else would you add to make this space feel even more homely? Let me know in the comments. 🤎

For this post, I’d go for a mix of home decor + home renovation + family/home content, rather than overly broad hashtags:

Jeez, I’ve been sleeping on the @marksandspencer home section 😭😂

I went in yesterday and found SO many beautiful pieces. The quality is honestly 👌🏾. The price point is definitely a little steep, but I can actually see the quality in the pieces, so I kind of get it.

Which home stores do you guys love for home decor? I need to know because clearly I’ve been missing out! 😂 by @ope_starr

Media wall reveal 🤍 95% done

I originally wanted something bright and colourful, but somehow I ended up with an all-white media wall… and honestly, I think I made the right choice.

It feels timeless, calm and like a blank canvas that I can keep styling differently over time. And at night with the lights on? 😮‍💨🤍

But I still feel like something is missing… 👀

What do you think I should add — wall sconces for more lighting, plants on either side for more color, or sculptures on the floating shelf for more depth? Maybe all 3.

Help me decide in the comments! And I’ll put a poll up too. 😂 by @ope_starr
