We joined the @voetvanafrika , and it felt like a pretty good reminder of what makes South Africans special. We danced before the start, tackled a few tough hills, got water from kids along the route and kept going with plenty of encouragement from the community. We show up for each other. We keep going. Apparently having a website and socials means we should probably introduce ourselves. So, hi. We’re Carmi and Keenan, the two minds behind Open File. We started Open File with a pretty simple idea: good design shouldn’t live in isolation. It needs to look good, make sense and actually work wherever people come across it. That’s where the two of us work well together. One of us tends to push the creative further, while the other is already thinking about how we’re actually going to make it happen. Somewhere between the big ideas, the practical thinking and probably far too many open tabs, you’ll find Open File. We work across creative direction, design, strategy and digital, bringing all the pieces together rather than treating them as separate things. We like good ideas.
