Lord Byron romantikus hőskölteményének fordulatos világát idézi meg a Magyar Nemzeti Balett A kalóz című látványos klasszikus balettje. Anna-Marie Holmes és Solymosi Tamás produkciója 2026. szeptember 25. és október 11. között hét alkalommal látható az Operaházban.

A Keleti éj szezon tematikájába illeszkedő előadás főbb szerepeit Yakovleva Maria, Melnyik Tatyjana, Beck Maria, Lee Soobin, valamint Scrivener Louis, Barbieri Raffaello, Balázsi Gergő Ármin és Massara Luca alakítja négyes szereposztásban.

Love and betrayal – Le Corsaire returns to the Opera House after two years 🩰

The Hungarian National Ballet brings the dramatic world of Lord Byron’s romantic epic poem to life in its spectacular classical ballet Le Corsaire. The production by Anna-Marie Holmes and Tamás Solymosi will be performed seven times at the Opera House between September 25 and October 11, 2026.

As part of the Season of Eastern Tales, the leading roles will be performed in four different casts by Maria Yakovleva, Tatyana Melnyik, Maria Beck, Soobin Lee, Louis Scrivener, Raffaello Barbieri, Gergő Ármin Balázsi, and Luca Massara.

🎼 Mahler, Wagner és Kurtág művei az Operaházban!

Szeptember 26-án és 27-én az Operaház megnyitásának 142. évfordulója alkalmából rendezett Opera142 koncerttel köszöntötte az új évadot a Magyar Állami Operaház Zenekara.
Az est nyitányaként Kurtág György Petite musique solennelle című műve csendült fel, majd Mahler monumentális, Titán alcímmel ismert I. szimfóniája és Wagner A Rajna kincse című operájának zenekari keresztmetszete töltötte be az Ybl-palota nézőterét.
A Magyar Állami Operaház Zenekarát Rajna Martin első karmester vezényelte, aki az ünnepi hangversennyel indította az együttes új évadát.

🎼 Works by Mahler, Wagner, and Kurtág at the Opera House!

On September 26 and 27, the Hungarian State Opera Orchestra welcomed the new season with the Opera142 concert, celebrating the 142nd anniversary of the Opera House.
The evening opened with György Kurtág’s Petite musique solennelle, followed by Mahler’s monumental Symphony No. 1, known as Titan, and an orchestral suite from Wagner’s opera Das Rheingold, which filled the auditorium of Ybl Palace.
The Hungarian State Opera Orchestra was conducted by principal conductor Martin Rajna, who launched the ensemble’s new season with this celebratory concert.

✨ Verdi zenéje, egy világsztár és egy különleges este az Operaházban.

Plácido Domingo tegnap este Verdi-gálával tért vissza a dalszínház színpadára, ahol a szerző ikonikus hőseit és tragikus alakjait idézte meg a Nabucco, a Macbeth, A végzet hatalma, a Traviata, a Don Carlos, a Simon Boccanegra és A trubadúr részletein keresztül.
Az esten partnerei Sáfár Orsolya, Mester Viktória, Brickner Szabolcs és Cser Krisztián voltak, közreműködött a Magyar Állami Operaház Zenekara és Énekkara, vezényelt Dénes István.
Öröm volt ismét az Operaház színpadán köszönteni a világhírű Maestrót, köszönjük ezt a felejthetetlen estét! ❤️

Last night, Plácido Domingo returned to the stage of the Opera House with a Verdi Gala, bringing the composer’s iconic heroes and tragic figures to life through excerpts from Nabucco, Macbeth, La forza del destino, La traviata, Don Carlos, Simon Boccanegra, and Il trovatore.
His partners for the evening were Orsolya Sáfár, Viktória Mester, Szabolcs Brickner, and Krisztián Cser. The Orchestra and Chorus of the Hungarian State Opera also took part, conducted by István Dénes.
It was a joy to welcome the world-renowned Maestro back to the stage of the Opera House. Thank you for this unforgettable evening! ❤️

Évadnyitó előadásán nagyszabású művekkel várja a klasszikus zenei koncertek rajongóit az Opera Zenekara. 🎶

Mahler operaházi posztja betöltése idején mutatta be 1. szimfóniáját a pesti Vigadóban, és az ő nevéhez fűződik Wagner Ringjének bevezetése a magyar repertoárba. A műsor a 2026-ban 100. születésnapját ünneplő Kurtág György előtt is tiszteleg a világhírű Pierre Boulez 90. születésnapjára komponált Petite musique solennelle című darabjával.

Az évadnyitó hangversenyt Rajna Martin első karmester vezényli, aki októbertől veszi át a Luxemburgi Filharmonikusok zeneigazgatói posztját.

The Opera Orchestra welcomes classical music lovers to its season-opening concert with a programme of monumental works. 🎶

During his tenure at the Opera House, Mahler premiered his Symphony No. 1 at the Vigadó in Pest, and he was also responsible for introducing Wagner’s Ring cycle into the Hungarian repertoire. The programme also pays tribute to György Kurtág, celebrating his 100th birthday in 2026, with his work Petite musique solennelle, originally written for the 90th birthday of the world-renowned Pierre Boulez.

The season-opening concert will be conducted by Principal Conductor Martin Rajna, who will take over as Music Director of the Luxembourg Philharmonic from October.
