MENTOR OF THE MONTH: FRANCISCO VERA

This September, we are proud to recognize Francisco Vera as Operation 300’s Mentor of the Month! 🇺🇸

Francisco joined our mission in 2025, just before our first Fallen LEO Kids Camp. As a father of four and dedicated law enforcement officer, he immediately connected with our mission of caring for the families of our fallen heroes.

Francisco has served with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office for 17 years, beginning in Corrections and now serving as a Deputy Sheriff and full-time Police Athletic League (PAL) mentor. His passion for investing in young lives extends beyond his career and into every camp weekend with Operation 300.

“My wife and I have four children, so its mission reflects the kind of support and community I would hope would surround my own family if something were ever to happen to me. I jumped at the opportunity to be involved.”

For Francisco, mentoring is about honoring the sacrifice of fallen heroes by standing beside the children they left behind.

“We owe it to those who paid the ultimate price and to the children they left behind to do everything we can. I want them to know that the badge and the oath their parent carried came with a world of people still ready to stand beside them.”

Anyone who has experienced camp with Francisco knows he brings incredible energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for the kids he mentors!

“These kids deserve someone who is excited to be there, devoted to them, and committed to giving them an experience they will remember.”

Francisco, thank you for your heart to serve, your dedication to our campers, and your commitment to ensuring the children of our fallen heroes know they are never forgotten.

We are incredibly grateful for men like you who answer the call to serve, both in uniform and beyond it. Thank you for being part of the Operation 300 family! 💙🇺🇸
