🇺🇸❤️🤍💙Good vibes & Cards 4 the Troops & Veterans! 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙

A great time was had by all at @thegoatmanch at the annual @eversourceenergy & @holidaycardchallenge Card Signing Event!

Everyone who signed five cards for our Troops, Veterans, & military families received a plate of the best wings and a nonalcoholic drink! And they were served by gracious Goat staff decked out in Eversource-themed clothes right down to a hard hat!

And all while having great conversations, laughs, networking, and chilling to the great music of the Pine Mountain Bluegrass Band !

The weather was perfect on the patio and hundreds of cards were signed, each with a personal message, some "home town news" to brighten the days of our Warriors!

Thank you @josephhoebeke @johnporazinski & Eversource Military Business Resource Group and Owen Turner for your spectacular event planning!

And we loved our fellow VSO Partners who showing up, ready to once again embrace our mission! @operationdeltadog @hiddenbattlesfoundation @ctroddyn @h_b_founder_scott

Service dogs save lives. I’ve met Granite Staters who couldn’t imagine their day without one by their side.

I won’t quit until our bipartisan bill is signed into law, directing the VA to fund service dogs for veterans at no cost. No veteran should wait a year for a partner who could save their life.

This National Service Dog Month: to the dogs, the trainers, and the partnerships that make it all possible — thank you. by @operationdeltadog

“Snoopy is always with me, giving her all to make sure I’m OK. I couldn’t imagine life without her. We’ve both been through so much, which makes our bond even stronger.” -Denise, U.S. ARMY

Every Delta Team begins with a rescued dog and a veteran. With patience, training, and lots of love, they build a deep bond to find healing and independence together.

We’re halfway to our goal of $10,000 to rescue five future life-saving companions for five veterans. Can you help us make the final push?

Every gift brings us closer to the goal:

🐾 $25 – Training supplies
🐾 $50 – One veterinary visit
🐾 $100 – A week of public training
🐾 $250 – One team training session
🐾 $500 – Feed a dog for six months

Today is a tough one.
I learned this morning that one of the OG Delta Dogs, Mocha, has crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. Though Mocha came to us emaciated and sick, it was clear from the start that he had what it took to become an @operationdeltadog superstar and bring lots of love and caring to a veteran in need of a service dog. Unfortunately, that would have to wait, because not long after we brought Mocha into the program in 2013, we found out he had heartworm. He spent three tough months recovering in my house, where (as you can see from these pics), we all grew very, very attached to him. Not long after that, he met his veteran, Donald Jarvis, and it was immediately clear that they were meant for each other.
Rest easy, Mr. Mocha. Thank you for the lives you changed and the love you brought. Thank you also for bringing Donnie into my orbit as an inspiration and a friend.
You will be missed. by @operationdeltadog
