“Eyes Lifted and Spirits Raised”

German grounds troops enthusiastically wave to their comrades in the sky. Pilots of the Luftwaffe who triumphantly head into harms way, acting as a shield and a sword to their ground maneuver counterparts in this new and experimental combined arms battle.

“Living Water and the Bread of Life”

Eugene “Sledgehammer” Sledge leads a group of his fellow Marines and some Soldiers of the 77th Infantry Division in pursuit and understanding of the Word of God. Peace that passes understanding in times that are uncertain and tumultuous. Courage that does not falter. Strength that uplifts others, and the broken. Christ, and Christ crucified. The King who took our place and now stands beside us. The blessed Hope that cannot fade when all else is lost. A torch to be carried forward and gallantly into the fight for a Kingdom that will never cease. Strength that stands.
•
It was a blast to do something just a little bit different and very close to home for me in this scene. Time and time again, when I have been closest to death and suffering the hardest, I have been uplifted and encouraged and emboldened in these sessions where the faithful gather. It was a privilege to build this scene out in one of the training areas on the post I work. I added the RAW unedited pic at the end (I forgot a BTS). Idk if that is useful or not, let me know what you like!

“Preparations”

As the campaign pushes his kampfgruppe deeper and deeper into hostile territory, exhaustion begins to overtake exuberance. His mind becomes committed to single target focus. Mechanical. Driven. Autonomous. One by one, 8mm rounds are pushed deeper into the magazines, so that when the ZB 26/30 roars to life in support of the assault force, the beast will remain well fed.

GI’s of 2nd Ranger Battalion occupy a planned contact point in the French countryside to linkup with the reconnaissance elements of adjacent armored battalion. They are early, and after setting in security, take in the early morning scenery.

Marines send out a morning patrol to conduct battle damage assessment after a long and grueling series night engagements in a target rich jungle environment. Their goals are to asses the number of enemy casualties and prevent enemy companies from recovering equipment.

“A Hunt in the Hedgerows”
•
America paratroopers, armed with an M1A1 Bazooka and led by the sounds of engines rolling in the night, crept beyond their previous positions in the darkness to find themselves on a German reinforcement route. They level the launcher and prepare a second rocket for a follow up volley, if necessary. Then, they identify their quarry, take careful aim at nearly point blank, then send the rocket flying towards the German Puma.
•
