We’re excited to welcome Maud Moen to OnePointFive as our Fall Sustainability Associate!

Originally from Oslo, Norway, Maud is pursuing a Master of Science in Sustainability Management at Columbia University. Before starting her master’s, she spent two years as an Environmental Sustainability Advisor at VOICE, one of Norway’s largest fashion companies, working across GHG accounting, life cycle assessments, climate strategy, sustainability reporting, and supplier due diligence. She has also completed internships at the U.S. Embassy in Oslo and the United Nations in New York.

💬 In her own words: “One of the things that stood out to me about OPF was its exclusive focus on climate. Coming from an in-house sustainability role, I’m excited to gain experience from the consulting side and learn how different companies approach sustainability. I'm looking forward to learning from the team, developing new skills, and contributing to projects that help businesses better understand and reduce their environmental impacts.”

We’re thrilled to have Maud on board and excited to see the positive impact she’ll make on our team! by @opfdegree

Who should power the AI revolution, and who actually benefits from it?

As AI demand grows, access to electricity, grid capacity, land, and water is becoming increasingly important to where AI infrastructure gets built.

But infrastructure readiness is only part of the equation. The decisions made today will also shape who captures AI’s economic value, who bears its environmental costs, and whether local communities benefit from the investment.

In one of our latest insights blogs, Elaine Liu (OPF 2026 Summer Strategy Consultant) explores why sustainable AI infrastructure requires a broader perspective on economic opportunity, environmental stewardship, and climate justice.

Today is the last day to apply for the Sustainability and AI Accelerator! Applications close October 13, and our founding cohort begins October 19.

Running through December 11, this eight-week program brings together sustainability and AI professionals to explore how organizations can scale AI responsibly without compromising their sustainability progress.

Throughout the program, you’ll focus on one of three Blueprint Tracks:

→ Responsible AI Policy: Develop a practical policy for your organization.

→ AI Impact Hotspots & Action Plan: Identify AI-related emissions hotspots and prioritize action.

→ Buy, Build and Scale AI Responsibly: Make more informed decisions about AI infrastructure, vendors, and implementation.

You’ll also hear practical insights from experts such as Scott Chamberlin, Ulrika Hafström, Nina Benoit, Brandon Galang, Nolwenn Godard, Steffen Müller, and Robert Keus, who will share their perspectives on the environmental impacts of AI and building more responsible, efficient systems.

With around 3.5 hours of live sessions and 1–3 hours of applied work each week, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from experts, engage with other sustainability professionals, and develop a practical Blueprint tailored to your organization.

If you’re ready to take a more intentional approach to AI and sustainability, today is your last chance to apply and join our founding cohort. Apply by October 13 👉 link in our bio by @opfdegree

What’s changing in climate & sustainability regulations across Europe and the UK? Take a closer look at Part 2 of our series.

This time in Climate Regulations on the Horizon, our OPF-developed series, we’re looking at Europe and the UK, where green claims, supply chain traceability, and sustainability reporting are shaping new considerations for companies.

This analysis was developed with the latest 2026 regulatory developments in mind, including EUDR, UK SRS S1 and S2, and the EU’s Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition Directive (ECGT), which took effect on September 27.

Read Part 2 to see the trends to watch and what sustainability professionals and organizations can do to prepare. Link in our bio.

This year, we’re supporting the people doing the work with scholarships for our Sustainability and AI Accelerator.

We’re redirecting resources originally set aside for our Climate Week events toward professionals working to scale AI responsibly without compromising sustainability progress. That support will fund a limited number of need- and merit-based scholarships, with additional support for professionals based in the Global South and APAC.

If you’d like to be considered for a scholarship, apply early: applications are reviewed in waves, with earlier applications receiving priority for seats and scholarships.

And, if you need financial support but don’t fall into these categories, reach out to our team. We’ll do our best to find a way to support you.

The Accelerator starts October 19. Learn more and apply through the link in our bio! by @opfdegree

Thinking about applying to the Sustainability and AI Accelerator? Here’s a quick look at how the process works!

The application takes about ~5 minutes. We’ll ask about your role, organization, the sustainability or AI challenges you’re working on, and what you’re hoping to get out of the program.

We’ll also ask about the Blueprint Track (Responsible AI Policy, AI Impact Hotspots & Action Plan, and Buy, Build and Scale AI Responsibly) you’re most interested in exploring, so we can get a sense of what you’d like to work on during the Accelerator.

Once applications are reviewed, accepted applicants can enroll in the founding cohort, join their small group for the Blueprint experience, and become part of our growing community of 1,100+ sustainability professionals across 70+ countries.

The founding cohort starts October 19, and priority applications close tomorrow, September 30. Take a closer look at the process and apply through the link in bio! by @opfdegree
