Service is the ♥️ of OPhiA! We are grateful for the opportunity to raise awareness about human trafficking and modern slavery through a physical installation in collaboration with the Red Sand Project. Established by Molly Gochman in 2014, the project invites participants to fill sidewalk cracks with red sand as a symbol of the people who “fall through the cracks” of social, economic, and political systems. By taking part, we hope to encourage conversation, build awareness, and inspire action for change♥️ by @ophia.unc

Happy #SISTERSATURDAY 🩷🩷🩷 Today we’re shouting out one of our new sisters from the Iota class, Dani Hartwick✨

“Hi! I’m Dani! I chose OPhiA because I wanted to be surrounded by a group of girls who love service and each other just as much as I do. It is so amazing to see everybody want to better the community while being such a strong support system and so loving to each other. Bid day was SO much fun and it already felt like such a strong sisterhood- I can’t wait to see what the rest of the semester looks like! The actives did a great job of making that day so special for us and we could not be more grateful! Happy first day of recruitment💗! Here’s an #OPHIPHLAME with sisters Andrea Sada and Katie White on how OPhiA strengthens their connection🤗

Andrea: “Katie and I were so lucky to be able to rush OPhiA together as roommates. It was such a great experience to go though together and was even better when we joined. OPhiA was the perfect sorority for us because we both wanted to find a way to make an impact on our community, big or small. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to meet such kind sisters and to get closer with Katie!🥹”

Katie: “When Andrea and I met as roommates, we instantly clicked. We both had a passion for service and wanted to join a sisterhood that highlighted that value, so we rushed OPhiA last fall. Through joining, we’ve gotten the opportunity to make so many amazing memories together. Some of my particular favorites were My Tie and Formal last year!
