We are very excited to announce the first edition of tegengeluid, a free space for sound and listening in the heart of Amsterdam. We listen all day, but we don’t always notice. And the places where we can listen together, from concerts to clubs, are getting more expensive and harder to access. Sound becomes a business model rather than an experience, and many of us end up listening alone. Tegengeluid is a sound against the growing inaccessibility of the most human act there is: listening together. From 23 to 25 October, while the city fills up with wristbands and sold-out clubs, tegengeluid fills the exhibition space of Vrijpaleis with music, experimental sound performances, installations and more*. Here you can take the time to actually listen, to the work, to the room and to the people around you. Come curious, come tired, come alone or bring someone. Cool down from the party the night before or find a quiet moment before the next one. Stay for one act or the whole day, and leave whenever you like. Free and open to everyone. Friday 23 October, 16.00 to 21.00 Saturday 24 October, 13.00 to 21.00 Sunday 25 October, 13.00 to 21.00 *lecture and performance by @loma_doom on Saturday & a dance performance on Sunday 18.30 TIMETABLE WILL BE RELEASED SOON! Location: @vrijpaleis , Paleisstraat 107, Amsterdam Poster by @juli_chaos by @opper_s_

I love Bandcamp daarom. by @opper_s_
