All Dry fire practice apparently counts.

Whoever designed this stage understood the assignment.

Halloween 2026:
Grab the basket.
Collect the brass.
Ring the steel.

Trick or treat.

Do as I say, not as I do... then do as I teach. Empty mags go on the ground.

Cool fall morning. Rifle didn’t get the memo. @john.paul.ross was heating them up also. #firearmsinstructor #bcm #rangeday #oklahoma #goodguyswithguns by @opstacticaltraining

Private Basic handgun training; grip, draw stroke, first shot. Firearms training is a series of lessons that stack one in the other. Consistency creates speed. #Pistol #pistoltraining #2a #pistolgrip #selfdefense by @opstacticaltraining

I wasted nearly 1,000 rounds practicing the wrong thing.

The expensive part wasn’t the ammo. It was reinforcing a mistake that an hour with a good instructor could have identified.

More rounds don’t always equal better training.

Sometimes the cheapest thing you can do is have someone who knows what they’re looking at watch you shoot. @john.paul.ross @daunhauercole @66_tactical @bobbybrawdy

Diagnosing the trigger pull.
Watch what the laser does when the trigger breaks. If your trigger pulls the gun, it will show up. No ammo required. #dryfire #pistoltraining #triggercontrol #pistoldrills #firearmstraining by @opstacticaltraining

Passing the CLEET Handgun qualification is the minimum standard.

The question is- What happens when you take those same fundamental skills and demand more from them.

This is a modified handgun requalification built around the same fundamentals, but with movement, decision making and a little more pressure.

Passing matters.

Being capable matters more.

Are you training to pass or training to win?

Try this and watch what happens to your grip.

I’m using an exercise band to put upward pressure on the muzzle so I can actually feel where the gun is trying to move and which parts of my grip are doing the work.

Pay attention to the pressure in your hands and how small changes affect muzzle rise.

This is less about getting stronger and more about building the mind muscle connection so you know what the grip is supposed to feel like.

Try it in dry fire and tell me what you notice.
