SAY BYE BYE TO THE OLD ME

IN SYNC & AINT NO BOY BAND

You have to judge a man by his principles & I am about to show the world something about values. Never gave in, never gave up. I am the only thing I am afraid of (GD). Over ten years in the making. When it happens don’t say I didn’t bleed for it. I put my life on the line for this moment. Praise God for the blessings, retired from all the stressing.

Sitting at 413 miles of riding this week so far and in the past three weeks, I have ridden 1,107 miles and climbed 36,493 feet of elevation as part of a gradual increase in training volume. While it is difficult to claim I am in the best shape of my life, running and cycling are distinct disciplines, each with its own demands. It’s undeniable that I am the strongest I have ever been on the bike.

Going all in for 2026 means committing to a long winter of hard training, pain, and suffering. But I plan to be fully prepared for the racing season. I reached my limits as a runner and pushed them to their absolute threshold. Now, I am channeling that same intensity into cycling for as long as my body will allow.

I am no spring chicken, but I can still compete at the highest levels. I want to extract every last drop of ability I have left. It would be foolish not to test the full measure of what remains in the tank. I am deeply grateful for the capacity to be the athlete I am, and I am determined to make the most of it.
