Some of my favourite Sarajevo finds — places I ate at, shopped from, and genuinely loved discovering along the way:

🥑 @brunchsarajevo — avocado toast, coffee, and a lovely start to the day

🧆 @falafel.concept — falafel, warm bread, creamy dips, and one of those easy meals that just hits the spot

🥗🍸 @fuka.sarajevo — Buddha bowl + cocktail + such a warm, cozy ambience

🍜🍺 @barsa.restaurantandpizzeria — vegetarian wok, Sarajevsko beer, and they kindly prepared my meal without onion or garlic

👗 @tharakoncept — one of my favourite fashion finds; loved the white balloon shirt + statement bottoms

🧵 @bazerdzan such a beautiful concept store filled with local design, fashion, jewellery, accessories, home pieces, beauty and books. I bought a wide belt here and later styled it as a top ✨

👕 @molimaosarajevo -my soft “Made of Sarajevo” cotton tee; simple, local, and such a nice wearable souvenir

👜 @hidesignbih — found a small leather coin holder in one of the nicest Hidesign stores I’ve seen

🎁 Ručni rad Goro — one of the sweetest souvenir moments of the trip; my personalised “Love from Bosnia” bookmark came from here

🧴 @sapunica.studio — body butter, bath salts and handmade self-care finds, plus such a warm personal experience and a little behind-the-scenes look

☕ @pek.sar — a simple coffee + croissant stop along the way

💫 What stayed with me most about Sarajevo wasn’t just the landmarks.

It was the good food, thoughtful design, local craftsmanship, warm service, and all those little discoveries you never really plan for.

🇸🇮✨ I did the searching in Slovenia so you don’t have to.

Over 6 days, I found some really lovely places beyond the usual sightseeing stops:

🌱 vegetarian-friendly cafés & restaurants
🍜 ramen + Japanese food
🍵 matcha & tea stops
☕ beautiful little cafés

🇸🇮 How much of Slovenia can you really see in 6 days? Quite a lot.

I used Ljubljana as my base and built the trip around easy day trips, small towns, alpine scenery and the coast.

🗓️ Day 1 — Ljubljana
Old Town, riverside walks, cafés and the colourful city centre.

🏞️ Day 2 — Lake Bled
Lake views, castle scenery and that classic alpine Slovenia experience.

🌿 Day 3 — Vintgar Gorge + Radovljica
Turquoise water and dramatic gorge walks, followed by Radovljica for its charming old town, honey and chocolate traditions.

🏰 Day 4 — Škofja Loka
A slower medieval-town day with beautiful streets, river views and storybook charm.

🍷 Day 5 — Ptuj + Maribor
Ptuj for history and wine-country atmosphere, then Maribor for the Lent district, wine culture and a quick evening stop.

🕳️🏰🌊 Day 6 — Postojna + Predjama + Piran
Postojna Cave, Predjama Castle and then on to the Adriatic coast for Piran.

💡 What I’d do differently:
I’d give Piran a full day instead of squeezing it into Day 6.

✨ What makes Slovenia special?
Lakes, gorges, medieval towns, wine country, caves, castles and the coast — all in one compact trip.

This 6-day route could very easily become a 9–10 day Slovenia trip if you want to slow down and enjoy each place properly.

🍁 Autumn in Québec — a little town, a little magic! 🍂✨

There’s something truly magical about autumn mornings… the golden leaves, peaceful paths, crisp air, and nature painting the world in its most beautiful colours. 🍁🤎

And perhaps autumn has a little lesson for us, too…

🍂 To embrace change rather than resist it.

🌿 To let go of what was, without rushing towards what’s next.

✨ To slow down, be present, and simply flow with the season.

Because sometimes, the most beautiful transformations happen when we learn to move with life rather than against it. 🦋

And the most beautiful part? I get to experience this little autumn magic almost every day in this magical town. 🥹🍁

Feeling incredibly grateful for the beauty that surrounds me and for those little moments that remind me just how extraordinary the ordinary can be. 🤎✨

Another one off my bucket list! ✅🪂💙

A little fear, a whole lot of adrenaline, and an experience I’ll never forget! ✨

From jumping out of a plane to freefalling through the sky and then peacefully floating above the world — what an incredible adventure! ☁️💫

And you know what they say…

“Darr ke aage jeet hai!” 💪
“Victory lies beyond fear.” ✨

Sometimes, the most unforgettable experiences are waiting just outside your comfort zone. And this was definitely one of them! 🤍

🍂 Love cute little towns? Save this one for Thanksgiving weekend.

Saint-Hyacinthe is one of those places I keep going back to 🤎
Just about an hour from Montréal, it’s perfect for an easy little 3–4 hour escape.

✨ Start at La Porte des anciens maires and take a walk along the Yamaska River.

Then head toward Rue des Cascades and take it slow:

☕ Coffee at Le Albert Café
🥐 Another cute stop: Crème
☕ Or try Brûlerie Mondor
🍺 Grab a local beer at Le Bilboquet / Le BilPub
🥕 Wander through the historic 1555 Marché public
🛍️ Browse the shops/boutiques along the street, they have pretty good ones !
🍴 Stop for lunch or an early dinner
🏘️ And honestly… just enjoy wandering around downtown

No big itinerary. No rushing.
Just coffee ☕ + a riverside walk 🌿 + wandering 🚶‍♀️ + a little shopping 🛍️ + good food 🍴 + small-town vibes 🤎

⚠️ Going on Sunday? Check opening hours before you leave — some cafés, restaurants and boutiques may be closed or have shorter hours.

Just 8 minutes above Sarajevo by cable car, and the city starts to feel completely different.

🚠 Trebević by cable car
A short ride up with beautiful views along the way.

🥾 Prefer to slow it down?
Trebević also has walking and hiking trails for a more scenic escape.

🌲 Mountain air + panoramic views
One of those places where you naturally stay a little longer.

☕ A café stop with a view
Because some moments deserve coffee and no rush.

🌙 Then back to Sarajevo after dark
Baščaršija, Sebilj, glowing streets and that beautiful old-town atmosphere.

Some birthdays are planned. Others just unfold. ✨

My birthday in Latvia gave me a little bit of everything:

🤍 Unexpected kindness from strangers
🥂 Birthday drinks
✨ Little surprises along the way
🍸 And spontaneous pub hopping back in Riga old town

Celebrating your birthday all by yourself in the city where you live can feel very different — especially when your family is far away. A little confined !

But celebrating somewhere completely new somehow feels lighter, because

🧳 You are exploring while celebrating.
🌍 You are discovering a new place.
💫 You are completely present in the moment.
🤍 And in some way, you are celebrating a new version of yourself too.

Nothing needed to be perfect. I simply went with the day — and it kept giving me little reasons to smile.
