Not all speech-language pathologists go the same route. Dr. Parr found her niche early on. This has allowed her to become more knowledgeable and gain more experience in her particular area! Supporting moms and babies is her passion. This turned into a passion for myofunctional and swallowing disorders as well! by @orangeblossomtherapy

As a speech-language pathologist who specializes in pediatric feeding & swallowing, lactation, selective eating, myofunctional disorders, and speech… I know I am not your average provider. I am MORE!I take a whole body approach to assessment and treatment, which is why I rely on other disciplines to help get to the root cause. Rarely is anything a quick fix, so I work with the patient and the family to create a personalized treatment plan that aligns with their goals. Care is never one-size-fits-all and covers the whole lifespan. This is WHOLE-istic care. Providing home visits has allowed me to work with a variety of patients in THEIR comfort zone. It has also allowed me to see what their “normal” looks like. Eating habits, sleep environment, stimulation, air quality, support, etc. Office visits are still available for those that prefer them. When we take a wait-and-see approach, we can often prolong compensations or miss them COMPLETELY! Instead of growing out of them, we grow ✨into✨ them. This can look like atypical breathing, difficulties swallowing, postural issues, tension, malocclusion, orthodontic relapse, poor sleep, poor reflex integration, speech concerns, and MORE. (Like, a lot more).. by @orangeblossomtherapy
