Coilostylis parkinsoniana (syn. Epidendrum parkinsonianum) - Native to Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, and Nicaragua.

I forgot to document this when it was in peak bloom with two more flowers that have since faded. Every year when this plant blooms, I take it out of the tent and hang it somewhere in my house so I can enjoy its evening fragrance that fills whatever space it’s in. Hands-down the largest plant in my collection, but worth the space.

Pleurothallopsis pandurata - native to Ecuador

Uncommon cool-growing gem gifted to me by a friend a while back. Very grateful to have the opportunity to grow this one!

Dendrobium (Diplocaulobium) arachnoideum - native to New Guinea

Frequent bloomer with flushes of flowers that last just one day. My favorite thing about this species is its strong watermelon candy fragrance.

Trisetella fissidens - native to Ecuador

I love this whole genus, but this might be a contender for my new favorite.

Angraecum popowii - native to Madagascar

This plant is the absolute star of my collection, an unusually floriferous clone producing 6-8 flowers most years with other clones typically producing 1-2 flowers. I grow it cool, strong air movement, water most days but it dries out very quickly, medium light. This species never seems to hang on to more than half a dozen leaves at a time, and this plant is getting to be a lot of bare stem in its old age. The spikes also take an insanely long time to develop, starting around September-October and blooming in April-May. Certainly worth the wait though!

I have established NBS seedlings of this species listed on eBay, the largest from this flask are spiking this year and I expect the rest to flower next year. Link in bio.

Angraecum urschianum - native to Madagascar

Tiny plant with a comparatively massive flower. One of my three clones has a particularly large flower, shown here and compared to the other, smaller flowered clones in the last clip.

Dendrobium malvicolor - native to Sumatra

Hard to capture the color of these flowers, they almost glow in person. Tiny member of the section pedilonum, maxes out at a few inches and seems very slow growing so far. taken in Minneapolis, Minnesota by @orchid_mat
