Orchid Quartet is thrilled to present a concert featuring these one-of-a-kind “Off-Beat” instruments, handcrafted by renowned luthier Andrew Carruthers.

Over the past several years, Andrew has created a remarkable collection of instruments inspired by elements of nature. Dubbed the Off-Beat Violins, they challenge and reimagine the art of violin making by blending tradition with modernity.

Presented by The Metzler Violin Shop, this inaugural concert celebrates the first public performance of these extraordinary instruments by Orchid Quartet, with special guest Andrew Carruthers.

Monday, July 20 • 7:30 PM
📍 Metzler Violin Shop
🎟️ Free admission — no RSVP required

Rather than offering these instruments for sale, this collaboration is rooted in inspiration. By placing them in the hands of like-minded artists, we hope they become catalysts for creativity, connection, and exploration.

We hope you’ll join us Monday for this special evening!
