Feeling cheeky 🍑 Inspired by @docgovtnz's masterpiece on the geographical knobs of New Zealand. We present to you: The bottoms of Britain.

A bottom is a legit geographical term for low-lying land, often found in valleys; and we've discovered 4,159 of them across GB. Isn't that peachy! by @ordnancesurvey

With Storm Boelo following closely behind Storm Austen, another spell of strong winds and heavy rain is expected across the UK, especially across the North.

Recent storms may also have left flooding, fallen trees and other hazards behind, meaning conditions can remain dangerous even after the worst of the weather has passed.

If you’re planning to get outside, avoid higher and exposed ground. Keep it local and choose a lower-level route instead, where conditions allow.

Check the latest Met Office weather warnings before setting off, and be prepared to turn back or stay at home if conditions aren’t safe.

The hills will still be there another time. 💚 by @ordnancesurvey

An incredible day on Sunday, taking part in the first @maverickrace Jurassic Coast Hike.

With 2 routes to choose from, I decided to do the ‘Marathon route’, which actually ended up being 45km (28 miles). A wonderful, varied route through woodland, open countryside & coastline there was never a dull moment with stunning scenery at every stage.

With 3 fully stocked checkpoints, and a full packed lunch provided at the 2nd one (I didn’t expect that!) 😅 - I actually went home without having eaten any of the food I took with me.

Lovely to meet so many lovely people along the way too. The thing I love about hiking events like this is that there’s no pressure. You can do them at your own pace and stop as many times as you like to chat, take in the scenery and take photos.. But at the same time you still feel like you’ve completed a big challenge and you still get the buzz for days after like you would with a running event. I’d highly recommend it and I’d definitely do a similar one again!

A big thanks to Maverick and all the amazing volunteers for putting on such a fantastic & well organised event and a privilege to represent event sponsors @ordnancesurvey / OSMaps.
