The Oak Hill School Supercross is back Nov. 7-8 in Eugene, and we’re closing out the season in style.
Rolling fields, oak meadows, spicy off-cambers, and fast, flowing descents. Whether you’re chasing points or chasing friends through the mud, this is the end-of-season party you don’t want to miss.
🚴 All ages, all levels: Beginner through Elite, Juniors, Collegiate, Masters, Singlespeed, Clydesdales, Athenas 👶 Kiddo Cross is FREE for striders and little pedal bikes ⏱️ Chip timing by E8, so you get your results right after you race 🍞 Custom baked treats from Great Harvest Bread for every podium 🌮 El Rincon food truck on site all weekend 🍻 Saturday post-race party at Xicha Brewing, 5:30 PM 🚿 Bike wash stations, neutral tents, plentiful parking, and spectator-friendly 🙋 Volunteers race free!

Cross is here! Last night, the Beavers took on the Twilight CX race. Michael held his own in the 1/2/3s, while Luke, Ben, Max, and Brett showed out for the 4/5s. Max delivered a sandbagging masterclass, riding away with a margin of nearly 3 minutes. He says he’ll, “probably cat up soon” taken in Oak Hill School by @oregonstatecycling

A few members went to take part in the first ever @glizzy_gauntlet at @skytavernbikepark in Reno, NV. What an absolutely fun and brutal Enduro this was.

You have 6 hours to complete as many laps as you can with each lap (~2.5 miles with 600' vert.) awarding the team 3 points . Each person also receives 1 point per hotdog eaten (dog and bun both must be fully consumed)...

It's actually way more difficult than you'd think to consume 8 hot dogs in 6 hours while also pedaling laps. We thought the hotdogs would be the easy part but after about hot dog four, the body no longer wants anything to do with a hot dog and begins trying to reject them.

Jamison very bravely chose to compete in the "hot dog water chugging" competition (I almost threw up after seeing the color of the water alone).

Nico won "most hot dogs eaten" in the women's category after having consumed 9 hotdogs.

This was a super fun event at a really cool venue and we definitely recommend this event to anyone that wants not one, but two forms of competition in a single race . (PS. Vegetarian dogs and GF buns were made available so you don't have an excuse for not downing hotdogs).

It's been an extremely busy month so far. Last weekend, 10 members of the mountain team went and raced @racecascadia round 2 at raging river. This venue was extremely fun and a bit grueling.

Noteable events:
-Jamison spent $4 on a single packet of liquid IV out of desperation
-Nico's rear shock was completely blown for the race.

We had two podium finishes last weekend!
Izzy, Expert Women 19-29 1st place
Nico, Sport Women 19-29 3rd place

When two of your engineers are also competitive downhill racers, you take motion capture into the forest! VersaX cameras strapped to trees. Markers on riders. Full tracking at 30mph through the Pacific Northwest wilderness. Jamison and Nico head to the race course today and all we have to say is SEND IT 🔥🚀 by @oregonstatecycling

Last weekend we had nine members of the mountain team make the journey up to "always sunny Port Angeles" (it absolutely poured during the first day of practice) for round 2 of the @nw_cup.

First day of practice was a bit wet and we were fortunate to complete cat 2 practice right as the skies decided to absolutely open up into a torrential downpour. Day 2 was even better with sunny skies and a bit wetter of a course but over the day it began to dry out pretty quick leaving us with absolutely prime dirt for race day.

The boys threw down some quick times with Roman coming in 4th place in Cat 2 men 19-29.

Nico tragically dropped chain about 1/2 way through the race run and ended up coming in 4th in Cat 2 Women 19-29.

And we had a podium finish by Izzy who threw down the fastest time in her category, placing 1st in Cat 2 Women 19-39!

Hot dog anyone?!?

Thank you to everyone who showed up to our Outdoor Club Potluck and Gear Swap with @hikingclub.osu_, @valleysurfclub, @whitewater_club_at_osu, and @oregonstatecycling! We had a great time mingling, playing games, checking out some gear, and can’t forget getting some grub. Hopefully now you all have some thoughts on how to expand your horizons during the off season!

The mountain team went up to Washington last weekend for the first round of the @racecascadia dirt cup.

Jamison lost his chain during the last stage (who needs it anyways?) , After finishing his final stage, peter revealed that he had been riding with a very hot banana in his pocket for the last six hours, and Nico was attempting to decontaminate her brake pads via jet boil (again). Regardless, it was an absolutely awesome weekend with a couple podium finishes from the women.

Izzy took 1st in Expert Women 19-29
Nico took 2nd in Sport Women 19-39
