Today, I became part of the 7.8% of Black women in America with a Masterā€™s degree. What once felt impossible is now my reality. To Virginia State Universityā€¦ thank you. Truly. Thank you for shaping me into the woman I am today. I honestly donā€™t know who I wouldā€™ve become without this university. Every tear, every sleepless night, every moment of doubt finally paid off. VSU prepared me for the world in ways I canā€™t even fully explain. When it was time to pursue my Masterā€™s degree, I was accepted into other schools, but something in my spirit just didnā€™t sit right. Deep down, I knew I wasnā€™t finished with VSU yet. I knew there was still something here for me to accomplish. Two years later, I can proudly say staying was one of the best decisions Iā€™ve ever made. To Panic 2000 & Urban Couture, the best organizations on campusā€¦ thank youuuu. Thank you for the lessons, the memories, the love, the support, and the lifelong bonds. Through yā€™all, I not only became a stronger leader, but the baddest version of myself. Yā€™all helped me discover parts of myself I never knew existed, and for that, I will forever be grateful. I truly have such a special place in my heart for yā€™all. To my familyā€¦ thank you for supporting me from day one. Thank you for believing in me no matter how crazy or unrealistic my plans may have sounded at times. I could have never asked for a better support system. Yā€™all have stood beside me through every idea, every goal, every dream, and loved me through it all. To my friendsā€¦ thank you for carrying me through this process. This journey was not easy at all, but yā€™all stayed. Yā€™all sat with me during the breakdowns, wiped my tears, answered late-night phone calls, listened to me vent, and reminded me to keep going when I wanted to give up. I love yā€™all more than words can explain. And lastly, thank you God. None of this would have been possible without You. Thank You for giving me strength when I felt weak, peace when I felt overwhelmed, and purpose through it all. Without You, I am nothing. Mastered. ā™” by @org.tyyy
