17 years ago, I married my best friend, my soulmate, and the love of my life. Looking back, I can honestly say that God knew exactly what He was doing when He brought us together. Through every season of life, every high and low, and every blessing along the way, I wouldn’t want to walk this journey with anyone else.

Celina, you are my greatest blessing, my peace, and my favorite person in this world. After 17 years, I still look at you and wonder how I got so lucky. You are more beautiful to me today than the day I married you, and I fall more in love with you as the years go by.
Thank you for loving me, standing beside me, and building this beautiful life and family with me. If I had a thousand lifetimes, I would choose you in every single one.

Cooler weather is coming to Charleston, and we’re more than ready for porch season. 🤍

We believe the spaces outside your home deserve just as much thought as the ones inside. A porch can be so much more than an outdoor space—it can become a place for morning coffee, family dinners, conversations with friends, or simply slowing down at the end of the day.

For this porch, we focused on creating a space that felt comfortable, collected and intentional, while still being practical for everyday life. Layering natural textures, comfortable furnishings and thoughtful details helped make it feel like a true extension of the home.

Because good design isn’t just about how a space looks—it’s about creating spaces that encourage you to actually live in and enjoy them.

And with cooler Charleston evenings right around the corner, we can’t think of a better place to be. 🌿🤍

Almost four years in the making. 🤍

Four years of praying.
Four years of waiting.
Four years of wondering when—or if—this moment would ever come.

And then… there you were. 🥹

This video is from the very first time we saw our daughter. The little girl we had prayed for before we ever knew her face. The little girl God already knew was meant to be part of our family.

Today, our sweet Cora Lee is ONE. 🎂🤍

One whole year of holding her, loving her, watching her grow, and getting to be her family—and somehow, I still look at her and think, I can’t believe she’s really here.
After almost four years of waiting, we’ve now had one beautiful year with her, and I would wait every single day all over again if it meant getting to you.

You were worth every prayer.
Every tear.
Every unanswered question.
Every day of the wait.

God’s timing felt so hard to understand while we were living it, but now I look at you and see His faithfulness written all over your story.

People always ask what it’s like to have a 15-year age gap between our oldest son and our daughter.

The truth is... I don’t think they missed out on having a little sister.

I think they were always meant to be her big brothers.
God’s timing looked so different from ours, but now it’s impossible to imagine our story any other way.

They were old enough to pray for her before they ever met her. Old enough to understand the miracle of adoption. Old enough to love her with patience, gentleness, and intentionality.

She won’t remember life before them, but she’ll grow up knowing what it feels like to have two brothers who cheer her on, protect her, make her laugh until she can’t breathe, and show her what it means to be loved.

And our boys? They’ve discovered a whole new side of themselves. Watching teenage boys melt into puddles over a tiny little girl has been one of the sweetest gifts we’ve ever received.

Maybe there was a reason for the wait.

Maybe they weren’t late to becoming big brothers.

Maybe they became big brothers at exactly the moment they were always meant to.

Every finish was chosen with longevity, function, and beauty in mind.

“Why would you want to start all over again?”

We get asked this more than you would think.

Why go back to diapers when your children are almost grown?

Why choose sleepless nights when you’re finally sleeping again?

Why carry a diaper bag when you’re talking about driver’s licenses and colleges?

Why start over?

Because we never saw her as starting over.

We saw her as continuing our family. 🤍

We had already watched two babies grow into incredible young men… and maybe that’s exactly why we knew just how fast it all goes.

We knew the sleepless nights end.

The diapers disappear.

The tiny clothes get packed away.

And one day, you would give anything to hold that little version of them one more time.

So no… we didn’t start over.

We said yes to more.

More love. More chaos. More memories. More time around the table.

And after four years of waiting and praying, God gave us Cora.

We’d start over a thousand times for her. 🤍

Because we never saw her as starting over. We saw her as continuing our family.

One of my favorite things about design is creating spaces that can grow and evolve alongside a family.

For this project, we designed a dedicated craft and play space for the kids, but we didn’t stop there.

Right outside the playroom, we carved out an adult sitting area where parents can relax, enjoy a cocktail with friends, and still stay connected to the activity happening nearby.

We selected durable, family-friendly fabrics that can handle everything from spilled juice boxes today to teenage hangouts tomorrow.

The furniture brings in playful shapes, interesting textures, and a little personality, making the space feel fun without sacrificing comfort or function.

The best spaces work hard for the families who live in them.

Today it’s a spot for parents to unwind while the kids create.

Tomorrow it becomes the perfect place for teens to gather with friends, play games, listen to music, and make memories.

Designing for both today and the future is always worth it.

One of our favorite ways to make a home work harder is by creating spaces that can serve more than one purpose.

For this project, our client needed a functional home office for everyday life, but also wanted a comfortable place for family and friends to stay when visiting.

Instead of dedicating an entire room to occasional guests, we partnered with a talented local custom Murphy bed maker to create the perfect solution. @chs_murphybeds

We also, replaced lighting, side tables, rug, art & mirror, installed new shades @budgetblindsofcharleston & curtains and repurposed their dresser by using a local company @hello_cutie_furniture to refinish it with a color that reflected the style of the new space.

Now this space works beautifully as an office most of the year while easily transforming into a welcoming guest room whenever needed.

We love helping clients think beyond traditional room layouts and find creative solutions that fit the way they actually live.

Thoughtful design isn’t always about adding more space—sometimes it’s about making the most of the space you already have.

A huge thank you to our local craftspeople who help bring these custom ideas to life. Supporting local while creating homes that are both beautiful and functional is always a win in our book.

One of our favorite living rooms we have designed. 🤍

This home on Seabrook Island had to do double duty—beautiful and cozy for the homeowners when they’re in town, but also durable and renter-friendly when they’re away.

A fresh inviting color on the walls thanks to @sherwinwilliams, overhead lighting and fan from @visualcomfort, new curtains and overall decor & a furniture refresh from local stores & @youngerfurniture, @fourhandsfurniture, @uttermostcompany

We got a little creative with the layout, incorporating a velvet storage bench that serves as both an ottoman and hidden storage. It’s one of those pieces that look works hard while still feeling elevated and inviting.

Throughout the room, we focused on materials that could truly stand the test of time.

Durable rugs, performance fabrics, and thoughtfully selected furnishings help this space handle real life while still feeling warm, collected, and comfortable.

I love creating spaces like this because they prove that practical doesn’t have to mean sacrificing beauty.

With a little intention, a room can be functional, family-friendly, rental-ready, and still feel like a place you can’t wait to come home to.

Design should work for your life—not the other way around.
