Listennnnnnnn!!! So yesterday, I left the podiatrist very mad, frustrated, and essentially disappointed in myself.

Not even a block away, as I was processing my foot injury and the other shit in my life, I just started crying.... I cried in the street, in front of my fianceé. I felt terrible.

Then I wanted food. GOOD FOOD! As my homegirl would say, I wanted "Black people food." Haha, word! I did. She began suggesting places she could order from, but none of it sounded fulfilling... then I knew. I said, "I want @organixluvtree food. I want their mac n cheese, ribs, and shit." Sooooo, she texted them, and although it wasn't able to happen yesterday, they made it happen for me today. I legit don't think food has EVER made me feel better than it did today. Deadass. They made the Mac & cheese, collard greens, and BBQ vegan ribs... Bae made the potato salad, and we got the mini pretzel bun from @wholefoods . WHAT. A. MEAL. 😋 Mannnnnnn!!!!! IM FULL! #lovelanguage #veganfoodie #soulfood #vegansoulfood #organixluvtree #love #familybusiness by @organixluvtree

Ayo! So, remember a few weeks ago when my @organixluvtree family and I met up with Joe D from @chunk_foods ? He gave us some sample products to work with and mannnnn oh mannnmm did Willie and Ginger deliver!!!! Last summer, we sat in the car and I told them I really wanted a vegan steak, mashed potatoes and string bean meal..... That was a classic in my home growing up! When we got the @chunk_foods samples, we figured that's the best time to do it!

They executed this meal masterfully. I loved it! Truly. Man. Brought me back to my childhood, sitting in my Queensbridge apartment eating steak, mashed potatoes and string beans withy dad. Man.

What I realllyyyyyy love about Chunk's products is that there are only EIGHT ingredients... that's right. 8 ingredients only! That's revolutionary! This product is amazing 👏🏿

Infinite love to my vegan culinary partners @organixluvtree who get it right every single time for me! Im grateful! We gonna go reallllllll far together ❤️ watch!

Ayo @los_gourmandises_ can we take this product and FEED THE WORLD?!

Last week, I commented on a story post @los_gourmandises_ put up and said, "I'd love to connect with @chunk_foods for our 5th Annual Vegan Fest" We jumped on a call a day or so later and talked through some incredible ideas and visions... He then connected me with Joe D, the NY Sales guy ... He and I texted back and forth. He came to Queensbridge yesterday to meet me and see what we're building with @connectedchef and our Urban farn stand. He was bringing some samples of the product, too. Of course, I called my partners in vegan cuisine @organixluvtree to come and be part of the building session... Joe made some empanadas with the product - I didn't eat any cuz I'm fasting, but @therealwilliewill , his wife Ginger, and my aunt @qbcommunitybuilders all said the product was DELICIOUS!!!!!! He gave some samples that Willie and Ginger will put together next week for us to taste and come up with some creative ideas on how to use it..... I'm stoked!

With planning underway for the 5th Annual Queensbridge Community FREE Vegan Festival, it's a perfect time to share a recap video from last year's festival!

We're doing it on the block AGAIN this year to make it more accessible for people in Queensbridge! And with an official planning committee for the first time, we aim to do it BIGGER THAN EVER!!!

Saturday, August 30th, from 12-8pm. We're now looking for sponsors, partners, and collaborators!!!

If you're interested in being part of the planning committee, our next meeting is Monday, June 16th at 9pm EST. You can be anywhere in the world and help us plan and execute this much anticipated festival ! It's the only one like. Food is FREE for the entire day, for EVERYONE!

Email Info@lashawnmarston.com with QB Vegan Festival in the subject line. Please specify your interest in the email.

Let's come together and grow this resource that my community and the city as a whole looks forward to every year! #QBVefanFestival #queensbridge #Vegan #communitybuilding #freeveganfestival #freeveganfood
