I LOVE our family 🥰 Next time you have an event, book the photographer. @g.marie_photography did an AMAZING job! We recently celebrated our 1 year olds birthday and took advantage of the opportunity to capture candid moments and casual family portraits since everyone would be gathered together. Best idea. For a long time, professionalism felt like safety. If I played the part well enough, maybe I’d finally feel like I belonged.Then I stepped away.In the early days of building my business there was a season where everything felt loose. I wasn’t who I’d been, but I hadn’t yet become who I was. During that time I gave myself permission to create differently, lead differently, and build a business that reflected my values instead of someone else’s expectations.It was exciting. Laundry is probably one of the most unexpected adulting distractions I never anticipated. I remember when I was single - I would let my laundry pile up until I ran out of underwear (don’t judge, you did it too, lol) and with small kids it doesn’t matter how much underwear I buy for them - they still change clothes way more often throughout the day than I do and their little clothes take way more time to fold and organize 🤦🏾‍♀️ ESPECIALLY now that I have to sort out the 9mo/12mo sizing from the 3T/4T sizing and determine if anything is out of season, outgrown or simply worn out 🙄😅🤪 #momlifebelike #momlife #OrganizedChaos #typeamom #organizedmom by @organizedashley

Nobody tells you that some of your favorite memories will happen on an ordinary Tuesday…Grocery runs…One brother pushing.One brother watching.And me trying to memorize moments that are moving way too fast.Turns out I didn’t need half of what I wanted. The stress I was putting on myself just simply wasn’t necessary. God has it covered. I’m going with the flow even more now and I must say, it feels, amazing. by @organizedashley
