This time last year we'd just held our 1st Birthday exhibition ❣️🎈⛪️! A year later Organ Projects has turned 2! We're taking a moment to reflect on what Organ Projects is at its core and how it might change and shift over the next year. Sadly the space we have been generously lent time and again is moving to be used in ways that will no longer make exhibitions possible. So it's going to take some time to think how OP might expand, evolve...or end ⚰️ We (okay! It's just Lydia...there is no 'we'!) are grateful to have worked with so many artists and meet many many brilliant people through OP, and don't take for granted the opportunity to create space for visual art in Brighton. Thank you for all your support ...and friends who have given their time and spare pair of hands 🤝 L x Work featured: @courtneysnowdrawings @isobel.scarsbrook by @organprojects

Looking Down / to the Ground, now open! ✨ Join us this Friday for the private view, 6:30 - 8:30pm - all welcome! Looking Down / to the Ground brings together a series of works centred on the downward gaze. Through attentive observation – to look down, to look inwards, to look sideways – works embrace a perspective that both mirrors a personal and collective state. Here the ground becomes not only a surface to be traversed but also a site of discovery, where shape, form, and texture reveal unexpected aesthetics and material possibilities. Through this focus, Looking Down / to the Ground opens a space where feelings of home, estrangement, familiarity and solitude, might converge; what is ordinarily overlooked becomes a site of reflection, relief or action. Sharing a few more shots of our 1st Birthday Exhibition back in January 🫀🫁🎈 Featuring: Bee Nicholls @itll.bee.ok Courtney Snow @courtneysnowdrawings Ellie Briffitt @elliebriffitt_art Rosie Tuff @rosietuffpainting by @organprojects
As part of Organ Projects' 1st Birthday Exhibition four large works on paper by Rosie Tuff were shown. Tuff employs drawing as a means of recording discrete motifs and spatial structures embedded within her immediate environment. In her evolving personal pictorial language, figuration emerges and disappears, often hinting at an isolated observation. In Tuff's work observation engages with the process and physicality of the mediums of painting and drawing. @rosietuffpainting Work featured: 1.Barrierduct, 2024, Oil on paper, 54 x 84cm 2.Platwharf, 2024, Oil on paper, 54 x 84cm 3.Cutpass, 2024, Oil on paper, 54 x 84cm & Crossbridge, 2024, Oil on paper, 54 x 84cm 4.Crossbridge, 2024, Oil on paper, 54 x 84cm by @organprojects
