Cuando elegimos esta fecha, no tenía idea de la coincidencia que nos esperaba… 🇻🇪❤️‍🔥A few weeks ago, we started putting this class together with one purpose: to help children in Venezuela who have been left without a home or family and are going through circumstances no child should ever have to experience.We chose to support @hogarbambi which provides a safe home and care for children who need it most. What I didn’t realize when we picked the date was that today was also Día del Niño in Venezuela🙏🏼 That made gathering our community for this purpose feel even more special.Thank you to @itsnessaaaa_ for bringing me on board, to @lisaosodel @giftofbecoming_ for the beautiful sound bath experience🙏🏼🧡Special thanks to @rarebodystudio for opening its doors to us. Lo ocurrido hace dos semanas me paralizó.No sabía qué hacer, cómo ayudar, cómo volver a mí, cómo regresar a este espacio que tanto disfruto, ni cómo show up para mis clientes mientras por dentro me sentía rota.Fueron días que sé que muchos hemos vivido de mil maneras, seas venezolano o no.Me sentí inútil, triste, frustrada, anxious… hasta que entendí que también necesitaba volver a mí para poder seguir apoyando desde donde sí sé hacerlo.Y creo que eso también es importante: dosificar nuestra energía, cuidar nuestra salud mental y entender que ayudar también requiere sostenernos a nosotros mismos.En NYC logramos recolectar muchísimos insumos en pocos días, y hoy en Tampa también movilizamos a la comunidad. Eso me recordó que los +8 millones de venezolanos afuera también somos ayuda.Últimamente he entendido más que nunca el valor de comunicar, de hablar y de seguir contando lo que pasa en mi país. Esta vez la ayuda fue masiva gracias a ti, que emigraste y hoy también eres vocero de las injusticias que siguen ocurriendo…Así que let’s keep talking about it🇻🇪 by @orianalexandra

Venezuela needs us right now. 🇻🇪On June 24, our country was hit by two extremely strong earthquakes back to back. But this is not just “another natural disaster.” This goes far beyond that.Venezuela is not a country that is prepared to recover from something like this easily. After more than two decades of corruption, abandonment, stolen resources, destroyed infrastructure, and a narco-regime that has left the country in survival mode, people are facing this tragedy without the tools, systems, or emergency response they deserve.Right now, there are families who lost everything. There are people still trapped under the rubble. In many places, it is the neighbors themselves who are digging through debris and trying to rescue others with their own hands.We need machinery, international aid, medical support, supplies. Donde todo empezó 🚕❤️‍🔥Ayer mientras grababa un podcast al que me invitaron, la host me dijo algo que me dejó pensando: “Qué lindo que estés en NYC contando todas estas vivencias, en el lugar donde todo comenzó”…Y sí… porque hace 11 años, con 18 años, fue en un taxi camino a mi trabajo como mesera donde tuve uno de esos AJÁ MOMENT: Yo soy la responsable de co-crear mi futuro…No sabía exactamente cómo, ni cuándo, ni qué iba a pasar… pero algo en mí ya lo sabía🙏🏼Volver a casa siempre me recarga, me recuerda quién fui, quién soy y todo lo que todavía estoy construyendo ⚡️And btw, I’m super biased because it’s summer in NYC 🤭🌞 see u soon! by @orianalexandra
