On this Veterans Day, I reflect on the journey, sacrifices, and the strength it takes to wear a military uniform, especially as a Black person in this country (there are layers to this). I am grateful for those who came before me, those who stood beside me, and those who followed. Most importantly, service isn’t just what I do; it’s who I am, always.
