A legacy. Two legacies. One culture. This Friday, we are bringing the ultimate homecoming energy to Awakening Bar & Grill for the Morehouse vs. Howard Pre-Game Kickback!

Whether you repped the AUC or walked the Yard, it’s time to show out. And guess what? You don’t even have to be an alumni to join the wave—but you DO have to pick a side! 👀 Bring that school pride and let’s see who runs the building.

We’ve got The Legendary DJ Oxygen @originaldjoxygen spinning legendary sounds all night long. Great food, heavy drinks, and unmatched vibes are a guarantee @awakening_dc

Growing up I played the drums in church… I also played the bass guitar in middle school… When I was in the 8th grade, this man walked into my middle school (Jr 1) and explained to us that he was started a marching band at trenton high… He had the vision and he went out to get the kids!!! He trained us… He took us places… He showed us what it looked like to be a black marching band… He made is so good that most people thought we were a college…
Mr Ted Plunkett I want to thank you for making me into the musician and ultimately the DJ I am today!!! Without you, I’m not sure where I would be.

I want you to enjoy your retirement… you’ve done sooooo much to help others and you should definitely take some time for yourself!!!

Again, Thank You!!! 🙌🏽 by @originaldjoxygen

S/O to these young people out here doing God’s work!

This is the in-housed gentleman that’s usually across the street from my house. We’re always making sure he has a few dollars and food. He’s super appreciative.

We were happy to see the barber out there grooming him on yesterday!!! This is super dope!!! 💜 by @originaldjoxygen

@officialcappadonna at our show last night… dope shit!! 👐🏽 #wutangforever by @originaldjoxygen
