Adventure dogs 🐕

Did anyone else struggle with the Ruffwear backpack? Oslo is for sure a size small, but when he wears it he always got rash/burns from the pack rubbing under his “armpit” area.. 😭 I loved how easy the pack is to put on and take off, and even tried the next size up as well, the size we had was correct but we probably won’t be using this anymore. by @originofoslo

Happy Birthday to Oslo!
Can’t believe he’s already 2? Whut 😮
I hope to keep growing with Oslo, trying more sports, hiking, and camping!!

I joke about this but it’s true, I work hard so I can give him the life he deserves. Whether it’s feeding raw food, single-ingredient treats and chews, or attending classes and dog sport trials.. All of these ain’t cheap, and I’m happy when I see Oslo thrive.

🐠 is life! Just look at this @wildnfreshtreats dehydrated whole sardine (yup it was whole until my clumsy hand broke it in half 😂

Oslo is enjoying spring weather, sort of. Wishing this weekend isn’t rainy though, we were planning to go climbing outside or go hiking!

We did a thing! 🏆

This past weekend we attended our third AKC Scent Work Trial. It was raining and cold, and I messed up a bunch because Oslo’s behaviors were a little different in this weather…?? Though we only got one out of four Qs..that one Q was our third and final Q for Novice Interior Search. Meaning - Oslo got his Novice Interior Title!! 🎉

This time I also had a chance to volunteer at the trial, learned a bit about how trials are organized and run, and got to watch other dogs do their searches. It was a great experience.

I am looking forward to attending more trials with Oslo. Though we’ve been taking it slow with dog sports, we are going at our own pace. Also, how fun is this little photo booth set up by South Coast Vizsla Club? I love the ribbons we got as well! by @originofoslo

This was from our last snow hike and I’m planning to go back. Serious question though, how does one juggle all the different hobbies they have?! There’s not enough time in the world to do all the fun things 🫠 by @originofoslo

Do you like hiking in the snow?

We love a good snow hike!! It’s like a regular hike with extra energy needed 🤣🤣

This trail was beautiful and I’m so glad we made it there when there’s still snow. @rza_zig_zag_zig is a dog that thrives in cold weather, and Oslo literally gets excited when Rza is excited, watching these two enjoy the snow was extra heartwarming.

A friendly reminder to be prepared when hiking in snow and/or high elevations. Recently there were hikers that got had to be rescued from Mt.Baldy and they were not prepared for the cold or the possibility of being trapped overnight in the mountains.

When the humans go climbing outdoors, what does good doggos do? 👀

They chill on the place cot and don’t run around.
We’ve brought our @helinox dog cot with us on several climbing trips now, and every time we get climbers saying “how do you train your dogs to stay on?” and “Wow they are so good on the dog bed!”. I love that Oslo can now associate the cot as a place to relax, and I’m proud to say he can relax and wind down most of the time when he’s on the cot. The moment I release him is when the true craziness come out 🤣🤣

I also like to bring chews for him while we climb too, since it is an all-day activity, gotta make sire they're fed. Oslo is eating @wildnfreshtreats dehydrated pork ear here.
