Thrilled to announce our upcoming tour in 𝑪𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒂 and 𝑺𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉 𝑲𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒂 this summer.

We’re especially honored to appear as 𝑱𝒂𝒛𝒛 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒔 at the ClarinetFest26 @icaclarinet fest in Incheon.

We’re incredibly happy to perform in so many beautiful places and very much looking forward to presenting our music to new audiences.

Alongside the concerts, we’ll also be giving workshops and collaborating with amazing local musicians throughout the tour.

La vocación de Oriol Marès (@oriolmares) despertó pronto. A los cinco años ya estudiaba canto coral y lenguaje musical en Claudefaula, en Girona. Aunque sus primeros instrumentos fueron de percusión, el cajón y la batería, a los nueve encontró en el clarinete esa parte melódica que echaba en faltaba con las baquetas.

“Entendí mucho más tarde que tal vez mi salto al clarinete lo di por la influencia de un disco del cubano Compay Segundo (cantante de Buena Vista Social Club) que mi madre ponía sin parar en el coche. En aquel disco había un trío de clarinetes que me fascinaba, y el año pasado viajé a Cuba por una beca y conocí a los músicos que grabaron ese disco. Fue increíble. Aunque Segundo ya había fallecido, conocí a los músicos que trabajaron con él. Fue una experiencia fantástica y estamos en contacto desde entonces, compartiendo historias musicales y partituras”, relata Marès desde Rotterdam, donde reside desde hace seis años y estudia un máster en Codarts.

Con tan solo 26 años, este artista catalán ha creado una formación instrumental, Oriol Marès & Talal Fayad Quartet (@oriol_talal_quartet) llena de matices y elementos costumbristas. Su música, una fusión de jazz, música latina y arábica, entra en el cuerpo como un mar de emociones que alimenta el alma, como el aceite de oliva virgen. Las canciones compuestas por la banda son ricas en notas suaves, melodías vibrantes y herencia cultural del mar Mediterráneo, su gran inspiración.

El mes passat vam acabar la residència al @elcanalsalt del nostre nou espectacle. Estrenarem a la @fmediterrania la setmana que ve!

UNCIVILIZED is about to meet an audience for the first time.
Music, images, light and words. Different languages trying to become one experience.

My first work on stage in Catalonia and I couldn’t be happier or more grateful. Thank you Oriol + Talal for the invitation, the trust, and for letting me become part of this necessary experiment. Also to my catalan and brazilian crew for the hard work and to everyone who gave us their time, their thoughts, their stories, and trusted me to guide them into the mirror.

Oriol Marès & Talal Fayad participarán en el ClarinetFest 2026 en Corea como jazz headliners y a la vez realizarán una gira por diversos escenarios de China

En 2026, Oriol Marès & Talal Fayad estarán presentando su proyecto como headliners en el prestigioso ClarinetFest 2026 en Incheon, Corea del Sur, organizado por la International Clarinet Association. Este festival es uno de los eventos más importantes dedicados al clarinete. El conjunto presentará su proyecto Estuarium en colaboración con el clarinetista japonés Eiji Taniguchi, fortaleciendo las conexiones con Asia.

Sumado a esta invitación, el dúo realizará una gira por China, presentando su proyecto en Blue Note Beijing, JZ Club Shanghai y otras ciudades como Suzhou, Baoding y Hangzhou. La gira, que cuenta con el apoyo de Música Máxima e Ibermúsicas, abre el nuevo paso artístico y profesional del proyecto, explorando nuevas audiencias, y extendiendo así, la presentación del primer disco en un total de 7 países.

Oriol Marès (1998) es un clarinetista y compositor de Girona, actualmente radicado en los Países Bajos. Su carrera se centra en la música latina y el jazz, explorando nuevos territorios artísticos a través de colaboraciones en diversos géneros.

Talal Fayad (2000) es un intérprete de ud y compositor sirio radicado en Utrecht, Países Bajos. Los últimos dos años han sido los más productivos de su carrera; ha colaborado con varios artistas y ha tocado en diferentes grupos.

Esta gira de Oriol Marès y Talal Fayad cuenta con el apoyo de Ibermúsicas mediante su línea de “Ayuda a la circulación de profesionales de la música”, convocatoria 2025.
