💛🍯 Today, in Cuba, we celebrate Our Lady of Charity of El Cobre, the patroness of Cuba, a Catholic Marian devotion that is part of the deep religious syncretism of Cuban culture and is associated with Oshún, the Orisha of love, fertility, rivers, and sweetness.

To honor this special day, we are sharing a fragment of El Alcance, a work where the roots of Afro-Cuban dance meet the energy and language of House.

Through movement, we explore the stories, symbols, and teachings of the Orishas, creating a bridge between tradition and contemporary creation.

Because dance is also memory, identity, and connection. by @orisha.house

🌊💙 Today, in Cuba, we celebrate Our Lady of Regla, a Catholic Marian devotion that is part of the deep religious syncretism of Cuban culture and is associated with Yemayá, the Orisha of the sea and motherhood.

“El Alcance” — the performance that challenges limits. 🔥

The Orishas teach us that true potential lies in stretching our hand beyond what we believe is possible.

Four chapters. Ancestral stories. One purpose:
To connect Afro-Cuban tradition with the energy of House.

Do you dare to go further? by @orisha.house

Have you experienced “El Alcance” by @orisha.house ? 🕯️

Four chapters. Four patakines. One question:
“How far are you willing to go?”

Because the saying tells you to stretch your hand only as far as you can reach.
But the artist always goes a little further.

Today, June 29, is the date when the orisha Oggún is celebrated in Cuba. This celebration is due to religious syncretism, which associates Oggún with Saint Peter in the Catholic calendar.

At Orishas House, we create a fusion of Afro-Cuban roots + U.S. urban dance, with House as the host. 🔥

Original music by @dianaela.lao

A little snippet from our show “El Alcance”. Our dancer embodying Elegguá — the Orisha who opens and closes the roads.

@dianaela.lao’s music also creates this powerful blend of identity and freshness 🤩 that’s why we love dancing to it 😉

Our talented dancer @ninfah08 ✨
