POSTS STORIES REELS

#365daysofwomenincomics - with (can you believe it?) the FINAL MONTH OF THE CHALLENGE - it has been an awesome year learning about so many amazing women creators and characters - so I decided that this month I wanted to share the wealth and see what others (and myself) have found from the challenge - after a few prompts to kick off the challenge, you can share a few books that you have either picked up, learned from, wished I added, or even some favorites of mine and others who have been involved a LOT over the course of the year, and surprisingly from a wide range of international participants! - click the hashtag and see so many great books, stories, creators, and some of the best #igcomicsfamily I know!
Also - pay attention to day 13 because it will make the last week of the challenge pretty fun and easier to know 😎😇🤓🌝🎉
(Also; for ease of recognition, feel free to swipe through to see all of the amazing women (and a few Them’s) and so much amazing representation of powerful, brilliant, silly, sexy, (etc, etc) creators and characters are there, and honestly still scratching the surface, but as thorough as I could be over the last 365 days - whew!

As always, participation isn’t in any way required, but always great to see you share amazing books that you have, and a wider community to build on. Thanks so much for everything all year - it’s been awesome! by @orizzle083

Since March was #womenshistorymonth - I wanted to end it by kicking off a new challenge (for me - but feel free to participate!!!

I’ve got a good list started, but need your help!
I’ll be posting to my page, and providing a list each month of characters, creators, storytellers, and many of the amazing #women in comics - feel free to share down below today, or through the next 365 days creators or characters that you enjoy and I’ll get them added to the list for the year to share.

Leave a comment below or PM me with ideas of who your favorites are! Kickoff will likely be tomorrow, so keep an eye out for the April List! And tag anyone you know who would like to participate! No pressure - just a fun challenge for me this year. by @orizzle083

Hey! I was able to be a guest on @rosaremarkspodcast to discuss what is definitely a top 10 favorite comic of mine. Give it a listen! You’ll learn how I feel about #slabs and all kinds of stuff. Love talking about the amazing storyteller @donrosa - who, many of you know, is my favorite comic artist and writer. Grateful to be able to participate in a great discussion - thanks again Mark!

Let me know if you give it a listen and what you think! #unclescrooge #donrosa #donaldduck #moneypit by @orizzle083

Just in time for #halloween and #samhain🎃 - finally got a sweet copy of #elvirahouseofmystery - first appearance of her in comics?! Cover by #brianbolland !! And it was only 1.95 🤯🤯🤯
And before anyone asks about condition, grading, etc - don’t forget - I DON’T CARE 😇😋- it’s a sweet copy, complete egg e, and looks great for my collection - can’t wait to give it a read! Love #elvira !! by @orizzle083

Sketched this while I was on an airplane - I only had my pen (no pencils) but not bad for an hour plane ride and a pen, right? Not perfect, but tried to really get that #jamesbaldwin energy. Such an amazing person. by @orizzle083

Had a chance to stop by an @olliesoutlet while visiting some family and always have a lot of fun. Should have snagged a grab bag of comics but nothing was calling out to me - except I did get a few books, including this #preacher graphic novel - never got into it, but #garthennis stories are fierce, and I’ve heard great things, so should be good.
Should have snagged a grab bag though 😂🫣 by @orizzle083

Friendly reminder that this thrifted/almost garbage piece of eraser does more for art and creativity in the world than #AI does 🤷🏻‍♂️🤓

Was excited to hear about this one when @toddmcfarlane mentioned that his first #spawn artwork as a kid would be inked by himself, decades later. Definitely an art inspiration for me, and I love seeing both his growth, and mine over the last 30 years ☺️- he’s done much better for himself in the art world but I’m getting there 😅🤩 great work as always from the #toddfather ! by @orizzle083

This theme song is just brilliant🫢🤯😳🫣- just discovered this gem on @tubi 🤩- #swampthing I think I love you by @orizzle083

Any guesses on what’s on the sketchpad next? by @orizzle083

Excited about this find that came in the mail today - a favorite team of mine, and a set that I’ve felt looked really cool! Time to dig in and see if it’s a complete set! by @orizzle083

RIP to the legend #timcurry - loved finding this #rockyhorrorpictureshow comic last year, and sketching him earlier this year… hoping to ink this tonight for some meditation. He was an amazing creator who did fantastic things for a lot of misfits. by @orizzle083
