On the way to work this cold weather got me thinking. It's actually not too bad when it is still. No winds or precipitation just cold. It made me think of this song. I bought this record soon after it came out and is part of my love for techno. The full thing is on Spotify if you want more of the vibes. Heiko Laux - Dedicated to all Believers. by @orlandomas

Here's another heater to keep us warm. Opendoor was a late 90s early 2000s duo from New York. The original is a r&b track but @wai.wan gave it the classic house treatment with speed up vocals over a funky baseline. Definitely a secret weapon kind of track. I posted the whole track because we need that heat. by @orlandomas

The first book I read this year! A classic I just kept missing. I was surprised. It actually was Kafkaesque. It was the last copy at @bookpeople New Year's Day Sale. I'm sure they have restocked since then! by @orlandomas

Something to keep us warm. Another find from last year. @dannytenagliaofficial version of @jamiroquaihq Emergency on Planet Earth. This is his Jamipella. It's a plea to Aliens to save us from Global Warming. by @orlandomas

Another favorite this past year. @romyromyromy - Enjoy Your Life off the Mid Air LP. I bought all of the XX output and I was happy to hear this one. 12 tracks of pop house bliss. Can't wait to hear what's next. by @orlandomas

This was another find from last year. Azymuth is a Brazilian group that has been around for 50 years and this is @djkennydope Version of Antes Que Esqueca. As usual with @masters_at_work_official the dub is where it's at. Two minutes of Kenny Dopes reworking the drums before it even gets to the clip. Finally he works in the bassline and we have to wait another minute for that chord change but it is so worth it. In the right DJs hands this could be a magical record when you hear it at just the right time. #housemusic #jazz #garagemusic by @orlandomas

Another one of my favorites of last year. @lpgiobbi - Light Places. I bought the album and got it signed at a Waterloo in store. LP was lovely and so is this record. The record sleeve looks like it could be Alice Coltrane and this song is a cover of Bill Evans Peace Piece. I wish this intro was longer but that's ok. There is also a monster track in the middle of the album called Georgia. Listen to it if you have not heard it. by @orlandomas

Like every year I have bought lots of records this past year. There were lots of great finds that I will post later but by far this was my favorite find. Janet Jackson - I Get Lonely 12". This one contained a killer mid tempo dub called TNT Bonus Beat Remix. It sounds like Timbaland but it was actually Teddy Riley. by @orlandomas

20 years ago I put out a CD with a mix I did live. I was going to celebrate earlier but got very busy with work. Please enjoy when you can. The link is in the bio. This was before serato so it was all vinyl because that was the way it used to be. by @orlandomas
