🤍 October 7th. A day I will never forget. 🪽

Just like so many Jews around the world, waking up on October 7th and hearing about the unimaginable tragedy unfolding in Israel was one of the most heartbreaking days of my life.

I remember seeing the horrifying videos, hearing the stories, and realizing that innocent families were being attacked. Families were torn apart. Parents lost children. Children lost parents. Communities were shattered, and lives were changed forever.

Even though I was thousands of miles away, my heart was in Israel.

Israel has always held such a special place in my heart. Through my experiences, Birthright, Jewish community, and the incredible people I have met along the way, I feel a deep connection to Israel. October 7th didn’t feel far away. It felt personal.

Today, I remember every innocent life taken from us. I remember the families whose lives will never be the same. I remember the heroes who ran toward danger to protect others. And I remember the hostages and every family who waited, hoped, and prayed for their loved ones to come home.

For those we lost — we will NEVER forget you. Your lives mattered. Your stories matter. Your memories will live on forever. 🤍

But October 7th is also a reminder of the strength of the Jewish people.

They tried to bring darkness into our world, but we will continue to choose light. We will continue to gather, to love, to celebrate, to stand together, and to proudly be who we are.

We will REMEMBER.
We will SPEAK.
We will STAND TOGETHER.
We will NEVER FORGET.

May the memories of those we lost be a blessing. May Israel know that it is never alone.
