Hello everyone 👋🏾 Had to take an #instabreak for a little while as I began to feel overwhelmed with it all. Have reset. I'm back to tell you that I went clubbing for the first time - properly - since before COVID (and baby!) to the club-affirming A Love From Outer Space @phonoxlondon It was an absolute beauty! 4-10pm, deep & uplifting vibes, carefully curated, mature crowd (hello personal space, friendly faces, stranger consideration!) Utterly sensational music - thank you @hardwaybros ✨🙏🏾✨ Will defo be back.
Next up I am exceptionally excited about Brighton's best night, recently returned to the @st_augustines_centre ❤️‍🔥@vaultedsounduk ❤️‍🔥 Come join me this Friday for some of the best music you can possibly find, in a wonderful space, full of lovely people. I'll be there for food from 6pm. Holla atcha girl **XxXxX**

BBG OPEN DECKS! If you would like to have a go at mixing in & and in front of a lovely crowd get down to the Actors on Thurs for this - beautiful space for women and gender non conforming people to learn, share & support each other. Big Ups!

Ey Yo! The Frosted Beats radio show @violetmarch & I did is on Mixcloud if you wanna have a listen! ❄️ As a beginner starting out it's SO important to have places & spaces that are open & welcoming to newbies... I'm so grateful to @floosi @bbg_brighton & @platformbradio for bringing us along for this one. I thought twice about sharing this publicity because it's not really mixing (you could say it's more a blending flex I suppose) but these are some of the tunes I've used whilst practicing on our #bbgbasics course & I would ABSOLUTELY LOVE to do more radio so here it is 🙌🏾 My bit starts at 37mins for those of you on a time bandit budget. Enjoy ✨

Wow, that was intense!! Thank you so so much to everyone who came out to party with us 💚 🥝🍵🍾🧃🌵 It was brilliant to be supported by such a beautiful group of people. I want to say that I loved every minute of it but I am definitely not there yet! I was shitting myself! Big big thanks to @bbg_brighton for sharing their wisdom and for their unlimited patience and consistent warmth. They say every journey begins with the first step. Well, that was a bloody lovely first step!

Hyped to be playing my first selection on the XDJs tonight at #frostedbeats - hosted by the one and only @the_rose_hill , come down say hi, have a probably slightly clunky boogie! I'm on about 10pm. Organised by our course teachers @bbg_brighton who have led the most welcoming course for women and gender minorities to get more of us in the game! Will be a beautiful night I guarantee

2nd Practice @studios.pirate this morning. Progress is being made, I suppose. This Valley of the Shadows tune is one of my current @pjbridger faves.
The original by #originunknown is etched into my musical memory, I remember listening to it in my early teens and feeeeeling it.
I grew up listening to a lot of the rock'n'roll, folk, blues and reggae my Dad listened to. As a teen I got really into gangster rap (Entry point - meeting some other kids from my estate at a friend's birthday party age 12/13, we jumped around to House of Pain thinking we were badboys knowing we were labelled as such.)
But this, this was different. The rolling catching beat, the bass, and the brilliant vocal sample were blended to perfection. I was a raver in waiting!
A couple years later in RE class I heard the source of the vocal sample. Big Up Mrs 'Minimum Effort Maximum Return' 'Put Your Feet Up and Have a Glass of Sherry Simpson! Unless you are @itselsbells
- the less said about communism-is-bullshit-gate the better eh? It was from an educational video featuring clips of people talking about their near death experiences. One of the woman being interviewed said the whole thing. I was well happy. 🖐🏾 'This is from the valley of the Shadows tune Miss!'
I'm gonna say #1996
#?
