Finally sharing the main illustration hanging above my exhibition!!✨️✨️ This was something I made after the comic was completed, and in a way it felt like a celebration of closing off the unit. I had fully honed in my skills by then, the inks and brushes, feeling very confident in not only my vision but my technique too. This is one of the first times I've really felt such confidence and felt as though it's shone through in the piece I've made! This A4 piece on watercolour paper has since been blown up to A1 size and surprisingly hasn't lost an ounce of the quality. The textures have held up and the vibrancy is utterly perfect. You can see this for yourself hanging in the Illustration room at the grad show that's still open for a few more days!! Or take a look at my recent posts to see how it looks hanging with the rest of my work.

First talky reel! This wasn't so bad, I might do some more in the future about newer pieces of work compared to this one, but I would love to know any thoughts on this painting! Or even what you think of this kind of reel. I love this movie, if there are any other memento fans out there, come and say hi!
I'll definitely be making another painting for this movie, something more detailed now my skills have grown and my style has evolved since then! 📸

Just a chill post today!! Little warrior quest duck amongst a spread of other adventure ducks. Their party is a bit of a mess but they're trying their best. 🦆🦆 Another sketchbook spread I'm lined up to finish but was kicked off by a great story suggestion. Mallards are my favourite type of duck so I'll always take the chance to fill in those green feathers 😌✨️💚

A closer look at the prayer cards from yesterday's reel!🖤❤️🖤 I always love a good compilation post, and it felt appropriate to bring this set back around for people that might be new here. These artist prayer cards were a study of introspection, looking at some big questions to do with who I am as an artist, where i fit and what I want. If you can tell any of the saints or figures that inspired these cards then I think you're super cool and you're going to enjoy my comic!

This set of Jimothies was made from one of my story sketchbook requests! Which I haven't done in a little while but will be picking up again soon. My pages aren't normally this empty, but I'm getting back to my sketchbook soon so I'll be posting the finished soread at some point!
I love the ideas you guys give me, and Jimothy was no exception!! The curled up pose is definitely my favourite. Do you have a favourite Jimothy? Or what other creatures would you like to see from me next?

I love this little show, and I'm so happy there's been such a resurgence! I'm really excited for the art book to arrive, this show having inspired the look for the future direction of my comic Corvus. I kept these matching portraits monochrome, just to keep them simple! If I ever end up making postcard prints I'll most likely use some muted colours and still keep things pretty sparse.

My favourite part of this as well is the fact they look at each other when you arrange them side by side 🥹 somewhere out there, they have matching sibling portraits like this and it's very sweet and they're in lovely little frames, and catch the warm glow of the fireplace ✨️🔥

Comic and sketchbook related!!! I posted my torso painting the other day (slide 3, if you haven't seen it, go check it out!) But I've put all my sketches for those pieces here today!
We've got: legs, arms, torso, head, and Grayson ✨️ (my priest MC from my comic)
When I make paintings, I tend not to thumbnail. I have an idea and i just go in with a painting, maybe because I know I can just paint over anything I don't like? Whatever the method to my madness, I hope you like these little sketch previews!

Lola!!!! I've missed drawing Lola so much, if you scroll back far enough you can find my earliest drawing of them! (Which i was lucky enough to receive a comment on from the official account 🤭) i added a little Zero in a spaceship too, I'd love to explore this concept some more. Maybe a little comic or something.
