definitely an era. what's the quote? some years ask questions, some answer. not that i'm in charge, but it feels like this particular stretch of time, or this particular stretch of me, is coming to a sweet close. i have no idea what i want to do or what's coming. the main goals:

"NIGHTRO", my first draft on Ableton 12 Intro. 65 bpm. my favorite aspects are the smoldering synth on track 8, the chittering hi-hats into the snare, and the reverse effects on tracks 4 & 5 (although I'm still trying to figure out how to clean up/tone down the melodies). I also want to add in a vocal sample and redo the chords on "Glacial Tolerance". The drums are a decent start. I want the 808s to slide more. As far as mixing goes, I slap mix gel on every track and call it a day 🤣

laptop photos from the last few months i cut my hair in june when i turned 27 and it feels really inaugural of something. like being in a car with your eyes closed and feeling a sharp turn. maybe a return? idk but i feel more recognizable physically which has been really helpful considering how unrecognizable i have felt to myself as of late. and it's not necessarily bad (although i def have catastrophized about it), i think it's just change and the G-forces of being in your late twenties. welcoming the sammy i recognize and the sammy i am meeting. Goodnight
