WHAT IS DESIGN HOUSE? A CREATIVE SPACE BUILT AROUND THREE PILLARS. ✨

At Design House, everything comes back to three things: CREATE. CONNECT. REST.

In this conversation, @thee__oma and @osarualile break down what Design House is all about and what makes it a space for creatives to work, collaborate and recharge.

✨ CREATE — A free coworking space in Lekki where creatives can work, explore ideas and bring their visions to life, with free Wi-Fi and 24-hour electricity.

🤝 CONNECT — A community built on collaboration, creative exchange and meaningful connections across different design disciplines. Through initiatives like Design Dialogue, we create room for creatives to meet, share ideas and grow together.

🏡 REST — A place to unwind and stay, with accommodation for those who need a space to recharge.

Design House is more than a workspace. It’s a creative hub where ideas meet people, collaboration happens, and creatives find room to grow.

Whether you’re into interior design, fashion, product design, architecture or any other creative discipline, there’s room for you here.

📍 Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria.

THE CREATIVE INDUSTRY IS BOOMING. BUT IS DESIGN GETTING ITS MOMENT? 🎨🎬

Fashion is getting attention. Music is getting attention. But what about design?

In this conversation, Lulu and Mrs. Osaru explore why the growing creative industry inspired The Design House Experience — a series created to bring more attention to the people, processes and ideas behind design.

Think about it: a music video needs a set designer. A production needs visual direction. Every space, every detail and every carefully considered element involves design.

Design is everywhere, yet the people behind it don’t always get to tell their stories.

That’s part of why The Design House Experience exists: to put the spotlight on the work, the people and the creative thinking that bring ideas to life.

WHAT GOES INTO CREATING THE DESIGN HOUSE EXPERIENCE? 🎬✨

It takes more than great ideas to bring a design experience to life. It takes people, partnerships, collaboration and a story worth telling.

In this conversation, @osarualile asks @thee__oma about her experience with The Design House Experience — from collaborating with partners to the decision to document the entire journey as a show.

Because we didn’t just want to showcase the finished spaces. We wanted to tell the story behind them: the process, the people, the decisions and the collaboration that brought everything together.

This is The Design House Experience — design in motion, told one episode at a time.

🎬 Follow the journey and catch up on the episodes on YouTube. Subscribe to Design House NG.
