Episode 4: Holly Takes 10km featuring @oscarr_thomass !! Let’s talk Active Warmup

Why is an active warmup essential before running? 🏃🏻‍♀️

A warmup gets your body ready for the workout ahead by increasing blood flow, improving muscle flexibility, activating key muscles and therefore reducing risk of injury!

It helps to prevent injuries, improves range of motion and can even help to enhance performance 💪🏼

Whether you’re a beginner or advanced runner a warmup will give your body the best chance it needs to carry you through the run 🤸🏃🏻‍♀️

Oscar’s Active Warmup (don’t forget to slow to do it takes approx 5-7mins)
- Hamstring sweep
- Lunge + side bend
- Quad stretch + single leg squat
- Lateral lunge
- Arabesque
- Calf raise + knee drive
- A skip
- B skip
- Grapevine
- Pogos
