’WHAT’S IN YOUR BAG’ video I directed and created for @dannywu_lab @n4mkham 🖤, nice organic process starting from the raw idea all the way to the final full CGI film.

The street environment was built in 3D using photos I shot in the streets of Paris last year. I took ~400 photos of different surfaces (walls, doors, facades, asphalt, etc.), which I then used to create the textures for the environment. For example, the asphalt texture was made using photos I took looking down at the street from my hotel room balcony.

The handbag was custom modeled in 3D to match the real product. We handpicked the various CG objects, some custom made and some modified from existing 3D models to fit the world.

I ended up making around 80 different versions over the course of about 2 months, fine-tuning every small detail... Happy with how this one turned out!!

CGI shots I did for the @salomonsportstyle XT-WHISPER VOID x @amamissya film last year. 🐟

Every shot is fully 3D rendered with C4D & Octane render. I did a photogrammetry 3D scan of the shoe and did the animation using motion capture - recorded with a HTC vive VR controller (see slide 5 :-)). I also did the sound design on these clips.

Thanks director @jacforsythe & @twinbrainsfilms for the fun project!! 🩵🩵

Music Video Feature: BIJI - “Original Kurda”

“Maceo had this idea to shoot during Nourouz, which is the Kurdish New Year celebration. The idea was to capture the older generation passing the cultural and spiritual torch over to the younger generation. It was very documentary style, still super planed but shot in a way where most of the magic happened when people didn’t know we were filming. We were running around in Akre filming the dancing and tea scenes during that day, but remember it’s New Year’s Eve so it’s people everywhere and total chaos.” - Robin Asselmeyer, cinematographer
